Park House Pampering

Last week for many reasons was pretty stressful mentally and let’s just say the weekend was very gratefully received when it arrived...

Luckily we’d had a night in a spa booked for a few months and it could not have come at a better time: The weather was grim, I was tired and an afternoon of pampering and an evening of good food and wine was just what the doctor ordered.

We headed out of London and made our way down to the uber luxe Park House Hotel in Sussex – a family run country house which was a little cosy haven with the beating rain outside.

We both booked in for a Hot Lava Shell massage at their PH20 Spa - I often get overwhelmed with treatment menus and this is one of their signature ones so I thought I couldn’t go wrong - and an hour later and I had to be woken up to turn over... it definitely did the job!

A quick pedi (in the new Essie ), a steam room and it was just about time for a glass of wine and the start of Strictly Come Dancing before heading over for the most delicious three courses I’ve had in a while...

Crayfish and noodle starter, steak and stilton salad and a very indulgent sticky toffee pudding I almost rolled into my bed but it was worth it!

In less than twenty four hours it felt like I’d had a week’s holiday – a small miracle if you ask me!
