Portraits were John Singer Sargent's thing and this exhibition pays homage to some of his most intimate and revealing paintings of famous friends. Famed for creating the ‘swagger portrait’ – an exaggerated form of the genre, designed to accentuate wealth or fame, you can spot the likes of Claude Monet, Robert Louis Stevenson and Auguste Rodin amongst the canvases.
