Liquid Blushers

Liquid Blushers

Liquid blushers were high in the beauty stakes last year with the likes of Daniel Sandler’s cult Watercolour Blush and YSL’s two-in-one Kiss & Blush. This year, a whole host of beauty brands are getting in on the action.

Ideal for fans of the ‘no-makeup’ makeup look, they provide a natural finish and a dainty, youthful flush of colour to cheeks that’s super flattering in the (hopefully) bright sunshine of days. Wary of how to apply them? We’ve found ten options that make creating this look a cinch.

Pure Colour Cheek Rush, Hot Fuse, £24 | Estee Lauder

Sheer and buildable, just pump a tiny amount of this water-light gel onto fingertips and blend for a countryside flush. In four shades, it’s easy to find one that will flatter your skin tone

Blushing Fabric, £29 | Giorgio Armani

Though it’s on the spennier side, this Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric will last for ages, making it well worth the investment. A micro-blend of water-soluble pigments, it gives a translucent flush to the cheeks and can be built up for a heavier look.

Backstage Cheek & Lip Glow, 10ml, £27 | Dior

This innovative Cheek & Lip Glow instantly reacts to the moisture in your skin to give it a luminous, customised pink glow. Fresh and ultra-light, its gel texture blends seamlessly into your complexion so you’ll be left with a healthy glow and no tidemarks.

Maestro Blush, 300, £35.50 | Giorgio Armani

Fake that summer glow with a couple of drops of Maestro Fusion Blush.  The weightless liquid makes you feel like you’re not even wearing makeup, plus it comes in three flattering shades that give you a sun-kissed vibe in a flash.

Pinch Your Cheeks, £14 | Origins

For a hardworking blush that will stay put from morning until night, try Origin’s Pinch Your Cheeks. The tiny tube packs a lot of product, lasting several months and offers a radiant, rosy glow that looks fresh and healthy.

Watercolour Cherub, £14.50  | Daniel Sandler

In a range of shades that suit every skin tone the nifty (and frankly, rather cute) watercolour bottles from Daniel Sandler contain a liquid blush that is simple to blend and build up colour. Just apply a small amount to a blending brush and buff onto the apples of cheeks for a natural looking flush. The oil free formula doesn't clog pores, and is both rub-off proof and water-resistant.

Hyaluronic Blush - 2 Blushberry, £29 | By Terry

ByTerry’s range of natural looking makeup is always impressive, and their Hyaluronic Blush is no exception. Give your cheeks a hint of pink with this foam-based colour which glides on smoothly and offers long-lasting transparent colour. We love how easily it blends.

Baby Doll Kiss & Blush, £28.50 | Yves Saint Laurent

YSL’s dual-use colour for lips and cheeks has an innovative air-whipped formula and the ‘hidden pearl’ applicator allows for easy, on-the-go touch-ups (the brush will apply just the right amount of formula), plus there are twelve shades to complement all skin tones.

Blush S302 - Fresh Coral, £22 | Ellis Faas

Ellis Faas' blush will give your cheeks a flush of natural-looking colour. Plus it’s packed with essential oils, rose water and vitamins C and E, for a creamy formula that will keep your skin moisturised as you wear it.

Liquid Face Colour, £27 | Trish Mcevoy

Keep Trish McEvoy’s blush stashed in your handbag for touch-ups throughout the day. Its fluid formula and click-pen brush applicator makes it easy to use at the office or on the train.
