Anything that gives us the impetus to workout more is okay by us; hence why we’re big fans of Sweaty Betty’s new capsule collection with London-based designer Richard Nicoll, seriously clever kit that fuses fashion and fitness like never before.
The eight-piece collection features the technical fabrics and high-performance pieces we’ve come to expect from Sweaty Betty, but all given a twist thanks to a theme of muted hues and Japanese-inspired prints that were showcased on the catwalks at Nicoll’s SS15 show.
“This collection is about a modern itinerant woman. It embraces travel, fitness and the work-life balance”, the designer says, and we tend to agree.
The pieces are festooned in soft pastels; high-tech finishes and shimmering fabrics that include leggings, vests and jackets – all suitable for both your workout and working wardrobe. Starting from what’s a very reasonable price for a designer collaboration, this is nine-to-five kit we can get on board with.
