From the brains behind Bubbledogs, Kitchen Table, and Lyle’s, BAO is a new Taiwanese-inspired restaurant created by three well-travelled foodies. After travelling extensively across Taiwan, China and Asia, the trio’s signature dish, Bao (a pillowy soft steamed milk bun), has obviously taken pride of place on the menu at their Soho-based restaurant. Along with battered sweet potato with plum pickle salt, fried chicken marinated in soy milk and Daikon tots with century egg.
The Alice Look at the V&A Museum of Childhood
Tumble down the rabbit hole this Saturday with the opening of The Alice Look at the V&A Museum of Childhood, in celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s much-loved novel. The enchanting exhibition showcases how Alice became a major cultural landmark, through a range of photographs, rare editions, garments and illustrations. From period images to contemporary looks, keep an eye out for designs by Vivienne Westwood and photographs by Annie Leibovitz.
