The brainchild of former Bodyism head trainer Lee Mullins (who has trained Rita Ora, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Mollie King), Workshop Gym is the latest place to see and be-seen in the fitness world. With the launch of their new workout ClassWork, we had to check it out…

The Lowdown: A departure from many trend-led sessions, ClassWork, designed by Lee himself, is a full-body workout which utilises bodyweight movement and bands to lengthen, strengthen and define the figure.

Who Goes: SL Leading Lady and ex-Vogue Beauty Editor Jessica Diner swears by Lee’s training methods, and editors’ from PORTER and Grazia have been spotted in the class, too.

The Workout: Fusing yoga, Pilates and interval training, ClassWork is no HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout, but be prepared to work hard and to come away a little sore.
Using resistance bands, foam rollers and your own body weight each hour-long session is designed to lengthen muscles creating a lean, trim figure. Combining traditional yoga moves with core work and animal movements, you will find yourself squatting and walking like a crab to target hard-to-reach muscles, before transitioning into a downward dog.
Located in a small intimate room complete with fire (research has proven that working out in warm surroundings burns more calories). The warmth of the room combined with use of a foam roller also helps to increase your flexibility.

Difficulty Rating: Intermediate. Some movements are challenging but the small size of the class ensures you are corrected if you are struggling.

What Are The Advantages? "A full workout requires a mixture of exercises, techniques and drills,
so ClassWork has been designed to ensure all muscle groups are tapped into in order to create a leaner body," Lee Mullins, Workshop Founder.

Why’s It So Different? Lee has combined the current trend for mindfulness with a full-body workout; each class ends with Buddha Belly breathing (deep diaphragmatic breathing) intended to lower stress and relax the body.

The Gym: As luxe as they get, this exclusive gym is located within Knightsbridge’s Bulgari Hotel and glamorous it certainly is. Expect the most high-tech equipment, plush surroundings and the most luxurious changing rooms we have ever experienced (robes, slippers and a range of designer beauty products are all on offer).

How Do I Get Involved? ClassWork takes place at the Bulgari Hotel, Knightsbridge each Wednesday at 7.30am.
