The Chanel Products The Experts Swear By

When it comes to iconic and timeless beauty, which woman doesn't want a piece of Chanel in her handbag or displayed on her dressing table.

Whether it’s a classic fragrance or one of the brand’s signature Le Vernis polishes, there is something about those entwined Cs which we can’t help but covet.

With that in mind, we decided to ask our Beauty Panel of expert makeup artists, hair stylist, brand founders, editors and all round beauty gurus to tell us which are their all-time favourite Chanel products. Do their hero buys match yours?

Le Blanc De Chanel Multi-Use Illuminating Base, £33 | Chanel

"It would have to be Vitalumière Satin Fluid Makeup foundation - a staple in my kit ever since I first discovered it years ago. This product works for everyone on all occasions - from photo shoots to everyday life. It has a beautiful, buildable texture and immediately creates a luminous glow to the skin!" Jenny Coombs, Make-Up Artist.

Les Beiges All-In-One Healthy Glow Fluid, £34 | Chanel

"My favourite Chanel hero product is 'Les Beiges' All-In-One Healthy Glow Fluid. It is a fabulous, incredibly light, tinted moisturiser that I love to use on myself or mix with more foundation for the red carpet. It keeps the skin wonderfully glowing, does not sit in the pores and gives perfect light coverage for those that simply want to even out their skin tone. I highly recommend it, as I do the whole Chanel Les Beiges range. Wonderful for just that hint of colour." Mary Greenwell, Make-Up Artist

Le Venis Nail Colour, £18 | Chanel

"My all-time favourite Chanel product is Rouge Noir nail colour – it’s an absolute classic. Working in the hairdressing industry, it’s important that my nails look fabulous at all times and my clients have come to recognise Rouge Noir as my signature colour." Jo Hansford, Hairstylist

Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour, £26 | Chanel

"For me, Chanel's Rouge Allure lip colours are gorgeous and classic, they have a luxuriously creamy texture and intense pigment. My staple red lipstick is Passion, introduced to me by my mum who has worn a Chanel red lip colour for as long as I can remember." Isobel Kennedy, Makeup Artist.

Rouge Allure Luminous Matte Lip Colour, £26 | Chanel

"I am obsessed with Chanel's Rouge Allure Velvet in La Malicieuse because it is wondrously matte but moisturising." Francesca White, Tatler Beauty Editor

Rouge Coco Baume Hydrating Conditioning Lip Balm, £25 | Chanel

"Chanel's Rouge Coco Baume lip balm is possibly the chicest thing on the planet" Francesca White, Tatler Beauty Editor

Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour, £26 | Chanel

"You’ll find me wearing Rouge Coco in Suzanne most days - I love that it's plummy-yet-sheer." Francesca White, Tatler Beauty Editor

Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base, £32 | Chanel

"It has to be the Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Make-Up Base, which doubles up as a beautiful bronzer for the face and body in the summer. It can even out a fading fake tan and prolong colour too. I also use it for contouring the cheeks, adding definition to shoulders and brightening up the arms. Just use a big, solid brush and you’re away!" Amanda Harrington, Founder of

Vitalumiere Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup, £36 | Chanel

"Vitalumiere Satin Fluid Liquid Foundation is my favourite as it's great for dehydrated skin that needs a lift. I love dewy-looking skin and this is perfect for that particular finish. It doesn’t deliver much coverage, so is nice and natural but strong enough to even out blemishes. I have used it countless times on celebrities for red carpet events. It's a winner." Antonia Rudebeck, Makeup Artist
