Last night, Alice In Her Palace blogger and London socialite Alice Naylor-Leyland hosted a launch party for her much-anticipated confectionery collaboration with Biscuiteers, held at their Notting Hill boutique.
Showcasing fashion-inspired biscuits, Alice's collection features the quirkiest of cookie-cutter shapes; AIHP readers will surely recognise the Bella Freud jumper cookie while the edible flamingo bags – an homage to Alice’s friend and designer Charlotte Olympia – were SheerLuxe faves.
Rubbing elbows with the likes of Marissa Hermer, Mary Charteris, Tamara Beckwith and even a Royal guest, Princess Beatrice, we found time to catch up with Alice herself at the event to get the low-down on the collaboration...
How did the collaboration come about?
I adore fashion, so we thought the idea of using my wardrobe as inspiration would be a great idea. It gives the box a lovely story.
How would you describe your style?
Whimsical, colourful, very British and there’s definitely a running wonderland theme, which you can see reflected in the biscuits tonight.
Whose style do you admire?
I’ve been following Russian ‘It’ girl Elena Perminova on Instagram. She’s just had a baby yet still has impeccable style.
Who are you wearing tonight?
A Temperley London candy pink two-piece and this wonderful Charlotte Olympia Moon clutch.
Where do you like to shop?
Temperley London and Matthew Williamson for high-end and ASOS and Topshop on the high street.
Where will you be hanging out in London this summer?
I love The Wolseley and E&O, and you can't go wrong with La Famiglia. Oh, and Hyde Park for sure.
