Contouring 101

If you've heard the term 'contouring' but have yet to try the sneaky beauty technique that creates cheekbones as defined as Angelina's, then beauty brand Rodial has the answer.

Started back in 1999 by Maria Hatzistefanis, the high-performance skincare brand was an instant hit with the A-list (Elle MacPherson included), who regularly rates its targeted results and long-term skincare benefits. Hero products like their contouring Dragon's Blood Sculpting Gel and Glamoxy Face Mask have been featured in countless glossies, and now their latest foray into the world of makeup  a tight edit of essentials helping to sculpt and define the face  is set to do the same.

Follow these tips and tricks to perfect the method at home and watch the video below for an in-depth step-by-step guide. Plus, receive 25% OFF as part of a SheerLuxe reader exclusive using code SHEERLUXEVIP until 19th July 2015*.

Step 1: Using The Sculpting Brush apply the Contour Powder to the following areas of the face:
- Underneath the cheekbones to strengthen bone structure (Tip: Suck in the cheeks and apply powder to the groove)
- Underneath the jaw line to slim the face and chin

Step 2: Using The Eye Sculpt Brush for precision application, apply the Contour Powder:
- Down the sides of the nose to slim and define
- Under the tip of the nose to define and shorten
- Into the eye socket line and inner eye where the bridge of the nose meets the brow bone to define and create dimension

Step 3: Take Rodial's Instaglam Glow and apply into the inner corner of the eye to brighten and widen and top of the lip to accentuate the cupid's bow to make lips look poutier.

Step 4: Finish off by dusting Rodial's Translucent HD Powder under the eye and around the nose to reduce any shine and mattify the complexion
