Wondering how to spend your precious two days off? Let SL be your guide…
Kaspars at Savoy
Having gained over a decade’s experience in top hotels across the Middle East and Russia, German-born chef Holger Jackisch is back with a bang in the kitchens of The Savoy, shaking up the menu at the hotel’s Kaspar Bar & Grill. Tuck into the likes of Pan-Fried Sea Bream with Fennel Gratin or Pan-Roasted Scallops with Tomato Verbena Jam…Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.
Farm Girl Portobello Road
Bringing a slice of Melbourne to London is Farm Girl, Rose Mann’s hotly-anticipated Notting Hill café. Head over to the all-day eatery to sample Superfood Smoothies, Farm Girl Porridge (millet flakes, chia seeds, coconut, avocado and omega mix) and the Farm Girl BLT – all of which harness the best of nutritious, local goods.
Brompton Cemetery Open Day
This annual event is the only chance you’ll get to visit the historic catacombs of the 174-year-old cemetery for free (guided tours are available for a small fee). At the final resting place of Suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst and Sir Henry Cole, founder of the V&A Museum, you will also be able to browse craft stalls and check out an exhibition of fine art, while kids can take part in face-painting and balloon modelling.
