The most talked about musical since The Book of Mormon, sell-out show Hamilton will be gracing UK shores come November in the most anticipated theatre event of the year. Those wanting to see the acclaimed hip-hop musical will have to be quick off the mark come 12pm today, as the last remaining tickets are released for general sale. Priority tickets sold out in a flash earlier this month – they were all snapped up less than two hours after going on sale – so you’ll have to be fast to secure a seat for the popular Broadway show.
Astonishing in its success, the Pulitzer prize-winning show, based on the life of one of America’s founding fathers, Alexander Hamilton, will take up residence at the newly renovated Victoria Palace theatre in the West End. With rave reviews from the likes of Michelle Obama, who broadcast the musical: “the best art I have ever seen in my life”, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s celebrated show has since picked up 11 Tony awards, as well as winning a coveted Grammy.
Due to high demand, touts are re-selling tickets from anything between £999 and £2,500, so if you’re keen on bagging a space without having to claim bankruptcy, today is your last chance to ensure you get to see the show.
General tickets go on sale at 12pm Monday 30th January, priced at £37.50, £57.50 or £89.50. For those who miss out, there will be the opportunity to enter a weekly ticket lottery, where a limited amount of lottery tickets will be released each day and will cost £20. Good luck!
