When it comes to live music, it’s best to plan ahead – most of the big artists sell out in minutes, and even tickets to smaller gigs are getting harder to snap up. So, to make sure you get your music fix, we’ve whittled down our list of must-see gigs kicking off in February and beyond.

Electro dance-pop quartet Fenech-Soler are making a comeback this February, with more floor-filling, synth-blasting tunes. Catch them in Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, London and Nottingham – or Germany, France and Belgium, if you fancy somewhere further afield.

The xx return to the stage with their smooth vocals, kicking off a worldwide tour in Denmark, Germany and Paris. They have a run of shows in the UK in March, and although most of the dates have sold out, you can still catch them in Nottingham in March – but you’ll have to be quick.

The rap megastar is taking over London’s O2 for a mammoth 11 days, playing all the hits from his latest album, ‘Views’. You can catch him in Birmingham, Sheffield, Glasgow and Dublin, too. Most tickets are sold out, but there are a few available for some locations.

Critically acclaimed Canadian R&B singer-rapper Abel Tesfaye will be wowing the crowds with his ‘80s-inspired soulful funk and R&B classics – if you like David Bowie, Michael Jackson and Talking Heads, The Weeknd should be high on this month’s music playlist. Be sure to listen to his punchy collaboration with legendary French dance music duo, Daft Punk.

Promising a heady mix of Primal Scream-inspired beats, Aussie pop-rock duo Jagwar Ma have been dubbed this year’s ‘feel-good festival must-see’. Blending vintage synths with a touch of retro soul, you can see them live in Brighton and London this March, but hurry, previous shows have sold-out fast, so you’ll have to book quick.

Manchester-dwelling, pop-folk singer-songwriter Jesca Hoop will be playing a selection of UK dates over March and April, with a catalogue of enchanting melodies reminiscent of the brilliant Joni Mitchell and Björk.

The Libertines with The Reverend and the Makers
Nineties indie rockers The Libertines have announced exciting news of a huge stadium show kicking off this May. The band will be reforming to headline Wirral Live on Saturday 20th May, and will be joined by indie-electro Sheffield powerhouse, The Reverend and the Makers. With their huge cult following, the show is sure to sell out, but with tickets released just last week, you’ve still got time.
