Dubbed “a voyage of discovery”, this adventurous festival brings like-minded people together to celebrate food, culture, music, literature and the great outdoors. This year’s line-up includes Kansas Smitty’s House Band, Trembling Bells, Norman Jay MBE, The Little Orchestra performing Beethoven’s ground-breaking ‘Eroica’ Symphony, poet Mike Garry with a string quartet and Poet in the City presenting a homage to Langston Hughes in words and music.

SET UP CAMP HERE: Bestival, The Lulworth Estate, Dorset

Not ready to wave goodbye to festival season? There are still tickets available for Rob da Bank’s legendary music fest, and this year it will be moving to the mainland – which means no more gruelling ferry journeys to the Isle of Wight. One of Brighton’s hottest new openings, Pascere combines bold flavours finished with delicate, artistic flair. And the result? Perfectly presented small plates laden with fresh, seasonal produce. This family-friendly Welsh gem, located on the idyllic Portmeirion coast, features music, food, arts, poetry, spoken word and other crafty, cultural titbits. BET ON THIS: Ascot’s Festival Of Food And Wine, Ascot

This four-day food fest will welcome celebrated chef Raymond Blanc and Candice Brown, winner of last year’s Great British Bake Off, to host a series of live cooking demos. Food and wine will flow freely over the course of the festival – take your pick from over 140 food and wine stalls – and if you’re feeling particularly lucky, you can place on a bet on your winning horse on the 8th and 9th.
