The Hype
Korean brand Laneige has been around for a while and offers a range of effective skincare products, but it was the Lip Mask that firmly put it on our radar. Since it went viral on TikTok, it’s become a firm favourite among beauty insiders and celebrities including Hailey Bieber, Kate Moss and Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney.
The Formula
Buttery smooth and long lasting, the formula feels almost gel-like on application, but quickly melts into the lips for instant, hydrating relief. The brand explains: “The unique formulation provides the ultimate hydration boost thanks to a potent blend of vitamin C, coconut oil and an antioxidant rich berry fruit complex that works to eliminate dead skin cells.” The result? A highly moisturising and smoothing lip mask.
How To Use It
Packaged in a little tub, it comes with a small spatula for applying the product directly onto the lips –a hygienic and satisfying touch. Again, the brand explains: “The product provides eight hours of continuous moisture and is ideal for normal to dry skin types. The initial intention was for it to be used as a lip mask – so we suggest applying it generously and leaving it on overnight.” We also like using it throughout the day to keep chapped lips hydrated, or even layering it with other lip products to add a subtle sheen.
