THE JEWELLERY COLLECTION
Jessie Thomas
British fine-jewellery designer Jessie Thomas will launch her new collection, Clusters, this month. Hand-crafted in 18ct gold and diamonds, the collection echoes the typically luxurious yet unfussy aesthetic of the brand, as well as the fluidity found in previous collections. With a focus on clustered diamonds and unusual setting techniques, expect to browse delicate pieces contrasted with chunkier rings and earrings – the ear cuffs, wavy rings and delicate necklaces are all scattered with a range of precious stones. All the designs are handmade in Jessie’s London workshop that she shares with her father – the celebrated master goldsmith David Thomas – and use 100% recycled gold and responsibly sourced diamonds.
The Clusters collection is available from 6th April.

THE INTERIORS BOOK
David Hockney, 220 for 2020
When the pandemic hit in 2020, artist David Hockney locked down at his picturesque Normandy farmhouse and spent the year observing the changing seasons. Using his iPad to capture his impressions of the surrounding landscape – a technique Hockney has employed throughout his most recent exhibitions – the collection of 220 works is a celebration of nature. By his own admission, the project became a lifeline for Hockney during the COVID lockdown, from which he spread his inspirational message: “Remember, they can’t cancel the spring”. All the iPad paintings are printed with up to seven special colours to match the richness of the artist’s vision, and the book is accompanied by a smaller extra volume of ink and watercolour drawings: the complete facsimiles of two sketchbooks from 2019, starting from the artist’s LA home and following him on scouting trips around Normandy.
