Hollywood – Series 1, Netflix

A new limited series from Ryan Murphy – the man behind Glee and Pose – Hollywood follows a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers in post-WWII Hollywood as they try to make it in Tinseltown – no matter the cost. Each character offers a unique glimpse behind the gilded curtain of Hollywood's Golden Age, spotlighting the unfair systems and biases across race, gender and sexuality that continue to this day. Provocative and incisive, the series exposes and examines decades-old power dynamics, and what the entertainment landscape might look like if they had been dismantled.

Becoming, Netflix

Becoming is an intimate look into the life of former First Lady Michelle Obama during a moment of profound change, not only for her personally but for the country she and her husband served over eight impactful years in the White House. The film offers a rare and up-close look at her life, taking viewers behind the scenes as she embarks on a 34-city tour that highlights the power of community to bridge our divides and the spirit of connection that comes when we openly and honestly share our stories.

Dead To Me – Series 2, Netflix

Jen (Christina Applegate), Judy (Linda Cardellini) and the lies that entwine them are back. Picking up in the aftermath of that bloody backyard reveal, the irrepressible pair once again struggle to keep their secrets buried. With a surprising new visitor in town and Detective Perez (Diana Maria Riva) hot on their heels, Jen and Judy take drastic measures to protect their loved ones and each other – no matter the cost. An addictively dark second season, where the stakes are higher, the friendship is deeper and the traumas that bond loom larger than ever before.

The Eddy – Series 1, Netflix

Directed by Academy Award winner Damien Chazelle (La La Land), Netflix original series The Eddy is an eight-episode drama that takes place in the vibrant multicultural neighbourhoods of modern-day Paris. Once a celebrated jazz pianist in New York, Elliot Udo is now the co-owner of struggling club The Eddy, where he manages the house band fronted by lead singer and on-again-off-again girlfriend Maja. As Elliot learns that his business partner Farid may be involved in some questionable practices at the club, secrets begin to come to light that have also been concealed from Farid's wife Amira. And when Elliot’s troubled teenage daughter Julie suddenly arrives in Paris to live with him, his personal and professional worlds quickly start to unravel as he confronts his past, fighting to save the club and protect those closest to him.

Vertigo, Netflix

The perpetually stylish James Stewart stars as former police detective John ‘Scottie’ Ferguson in Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece Vertigo. Scottie is forced into early retirement because an incident in the line of duty has caused him to develop acrophobia and vertigo. But hired by an acquaintance as a private investigator, he’s tasked with following Madeleine (Kim Novak), a woman he soon becomes obsessed with – with fatal consequences.

Space Force – Series 1, Netflix

A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Sceptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and ‘Spacemen’ are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance. A new kind of workplace comedy.

Have A Good Trip: Adventures In Psychedelics, Netflix

This documentary features comedic tripping stories from A-list actors, comedians and musicians as star-studded re-enactments and trippy animations bring their surreal hallucinations to life. Mixing comedy with a thorough investigation of psychedelics, Have A Good Trip explores the pros, cons, science, history, future, pop cultural impact and cosmic possibilities of hallucinogens. The film tackles the big questions: can psychedelics have a powerful role in treating depression, addiction, and helping us confront our own mortality? Cast members include Adam Scott, Nick Offerman, Sarah Silverman and A$AP Rocky among others.

Nineties legend Jerry Seinfeld’s new hour-long special, Jerry Seinfeld: 23 Hours to Kill, reinforces his reputation as the precision-craftsman of stand-up comedy. The special features a spectacular arrival to the Beacon Theatre in New York City, and showcases Seinfeld’s sharp angles on everyday life, uncovering comedy in the commonplace.

White Lines – Series 1, Netflix

When the body of a legendary Manchester DJ is discovered 20 years after his mysterious disappearance from Ibiza, his sister returns to the beautiful Spanish island to find out what happened. Her investigation will lead her through a thrilling world of dance clubs, lies and cover-ups, forcing her to confront the darker sides of her own character in a place where people live life on the edge.

Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, NOW TV

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood visits 1969 LA, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his long-time stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognise anymore. This ninth film from the controversial writer-director features a large ensemble cast, including Margot Robbie and Dakota Fanning, and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age. A must if you didn’t catch it at the cinema.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, NOW TV

When it's discovered that the evil Emperor Palpatine did not die at the hands of Darth Vader, the rebels must race against the clock to find out his whereabouts. Finn and Poe lead the Resistance to put a stop to the First Order's plans to form a new Empire, while Rey anticipates her inevitable confrontation with Kylo Ren. Last in the trilogy.

Billions – Series 5, NOW TV

In season five of Billions, Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) and Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) see their vicious rivalry reignited, while new enemies rise and take aim. Social impact pioneer Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) poses a true threat to Axe’s dominance, and Chuck feuds with a formidable district attorney (Roma Maffia). Elsewhere, Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon) is forced back to Axe Capital, where Taylor must fight to protect their employees and their assets.
