US Fitness Trend: OrangeTheory |

Calling all gym class fans – if you’ve yet to try Orangetheory, a high-energy group training method that’s taken the US by storm, lace up those trainers and hotfoot it to David Lloyd Studios now.

Set to upbeat music, each 60-minute interval training session works you hard with a mix of cardio and resistance exercises.

The aim is to get your heart rate into the so-called ‘Orange Zone’ (you’re given a personal monitor), in order to boost your fitness levels and metabolism.
Users report increased energy levels and visible toning results after just a few sessions.

Best of all, you’ll burn up to 1,000 calories during the class and up to 400 more in the 36 hours afterwards in what’s known as the ‘Orange Effect’. Definitely worth the effort, then.

Available at selected London studios, you don’t have to be a member to get involved, as all sessions run on a pay-as-you-go basis. Sign us up now – sounds like the most effective body-boosting class we’ve heard of in ages.
