Must-Visit: Bubblewrap Waffles

Favourites 24

London is no stranger to unique dessert pop-ups – we recently discovered the capital’s new ice cream mochi bar – and there's another delectable treat causing a stir in the city. Bubblewrap in Chinatown is putting a delicious, Instagrammable twist on waffles. Having originated in Hong Kong, these unique egg waffles are causing Londoners to queue for over two hours for a taste of the sweet and savoury creations.

Resembling bubble wrap, the waffle is shaped into a cone and filled with everything from matcha gelato and KitKat to berries and cream, with a helping of oreos, fudge or pistachios for good measure.

Don’t fancy facing the queue? Celebrate National Waffle Day this weekend and go all out for brunch with our pick of tasty recipes. Start your Saturday the indulgent way with Nutella s'mores waffles, or enjoy a sweet potato stack for lunch, with a side of eggs and bacon.
Bubblewrap, 24 Wardour Street, Chinatown
