Fresh, organic and seasonal produce make up the new vegetarian small plates menu at Brother Marcus in Balham. Grilled aubergine with chilli, beetroot hummus and sesame seeds, and halloumi with blood orange and pistachios will get the mouth watering for an alternative brunch. To be enjoyed in their recently reopened sun-drenched garden.

When you think of Italian chain restaurants, healthy eating doesn’t always spring to mind, more indulgent pizza and wine. However, for summer 2017 Carluccios has developed an entirely gluten-free/vegan/vegetarian offering, available in every branch. The menu is full of healthy Italian ingredients and light but tasty meals, and the stuffed peppers come highly recommended.
