Anges de Sucre
French for ‘sugar angels,’ Anges de Sucre is an award-winning sweet shop in the heart of Kensington, founded by Kuwait-born Londoner Reshmi Bennett. Bennet trained in classical French cuisine in Paris at École Grégoire Ferrandi.
Combining classic French techniques with flavours from around the world, Anges de Sucre offers a selection of jewel-like marshmallows and macarons, alongside their own sweet-inventions such as Muffles (marshmallow-truffle hybrid) and Tremendous Teacakes.

Fancy a cake that’s vegan, gluten, dairy, and refined sugar-free, plus packed with superfoods? Look no further than The Hardihood. Their genuinely delicious gateaux aren’t soft, uncooked mixtures, but perfectly delectable cakes all cooked below 48 degrees to ensure the highest concentration of nutrients.
Speciality: Healthy versions of treats, including red velvet cupcakes made with beetroot, dark chocolate truffles made with cacao and raw hot cross buns.
Officially the best cupcakes in London (according to multiple awards and media accolades). When it comes to design, quality ingredients and, well, flavour, Flavourtown is unrivalled. They’re stocked in Harrods and Selfridges, or you can have your cupcakes hand delivered across London to offices, restaurants, hotels, workplaces, events or even right to your front door.
Speciality: Have an idea in mind? No matter how unique or outlandish, Flavourtown’s bespoke creations will make it a reality. From rainbow unicorn cakes to red velvet-oreo mash-ups, nothing is too adventurous.
Dubbed the ‘millennial cake designer’, Insta-famous baker Georgia Green trained at Le Cordon Bleu before opening her own bakery in north London. Fans include Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse, she’s collaborated with the likes of Refinery 29, Cosmopolitan and Lancôme, and her wedding cakes are now stocked in Harrods.
Speciality: The prettiest, pastel, fruit-and-flower-adorned cake designs you’ve ever seen. Her creations were made to be posted on social media (and they taste pretty damn delicious too).
Now with a prime spot near Columbia Flower Market and a book under her belt, industry favourite Lily Jones helped put baking back on the map. She has long been considered the A-list and fashion crowds’ go-to for one-of-a-kind masterpieces.
Speciality: The artisan baker to the stars creates beautiful but decidedly anti-cute cakes for the likes of Henry Holland, Nike and Alexander McQueen. Her bakewell tarts have also developed a cult following among East Londoners.
Using only the lightest choux pastry, this South Kensington-based bakery creates hand-crafted and visually stunning French classics with a twist, quickly becoming a must-have addition at fashion press days.
Speciality: You can’t miss Michelin-starred baker Joaquim Prat’s delicate and finely decorated éclairs all over Instagram.
Former chefs and BFFs Alex Hofler and Stacey O’Gorman have officially turned meringues into the coolest confectionery in town, with clients including Whistles, Alexander McQueen and Marie Claire.

Speciality: Recreating everything from Chanel bags to Naked Eye Palettes in cake form for birthdays and launches.
Holding a strong connection with the fashion industry since they launched (they even call each of their delectable tins a 'collection'), Biscuiteers are where the style set go if they want something a little more special than the humble digestive. Everyone from Huge Boss to fashion mag Grazia have all called upon them to make bespoke biscuits.
Speciality: Fashion-shaped, bite-sized biscuits. Cookie in the shape of a Bella Freud knit or a classic red lippy? Yes please.
