The Most Instagrammable Places In London

When it comes to ‘gram-worthy drinking and dining, few cities are doing it better than London right now. And if you’re looking to up your Instagram game, we’ve rounded up 12 of the most photogenic spots in the capital – from oasis-like brunch spots and sleek 70s-inspired cafés, to influencer-approved restaurants and the members’ club worth trying to sneak into (even if just for the ultimate bathroom selfie)…

Annabel's

London’s most exclusive members’ club underwent a £55m makeover this year. Thanks to Sexy Fish designer Martin Brudnizki, gone is the old country house décor, and in its place a whirlwind of lavish, glitzy bars and restaurants – plus, the dreamiest pink floral bathrooms we’ve ever seen (created in collaboration with beauty guru Charlotte Tilbury, no less). If you’re lucky enough to get in, we recommend heading straight to the powder room for a selfie.

Aubaine at Selfridges

Situated up on the second floor of Selfridges, this is arguably the most beautiful branch of Aubaine in London(find the others in Knightsbridge, Kensington and Mayfair). It serves up modern French fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but we also can’t resist a mid-shopping spree pit-stop – the perfect place to relax with a glass of champagne, and post a photo of the dreamy, wisteria-covered ceiling.

Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings

This bright and airy oasis is the ideal spot for a boozy weekend brunch – and documenting it all on Insta to boot. Alongside dishes and cocktails just waiting to be photographed, you’ll also want to capture the décor – think white washed walls, mismatching colonial furniture, tropical print upholstery, a wrought iron circular stairwell and huge stone fireplace.

Clerkenwell Grind

Our pick of the Grind bunch (there are now eight branches dotted across London, from Soho to Shoreditch), the Clerkenwell outlet really outdoes the rest when it comes to interiors. Bold and bright, yet seriously elegant, the two-floor space – comprising of a café, restaurant, cocktail bar and events space – is filled with pink and blue velvet seating, luxe brass light fittings, marble floors and chic patterned brick walls.

Omar’s Place

With both a menu and interiors inspired by the Mediterranean, stepping into Omar's Place will make you feel a world away from London. A collaboration between designers Sella Concept and Wilson Holloway architects, the décor is seriously Instagrammable – expect splashes of emerald green and warm terracotta, teamed with luxe gold accents, marble table tops and curved mirrors. The food is just as pretty, too.

From the Wes Anderson-style colour scheme to the cutesy cakes at the counter, everything here is designed with the Insta-crowd in mind. Get here early at the weekends if you want a table though, or you'll have to battle it out with the bloggers.

Peggy Porschen Parlour

Often heralded as ‘the cutest café in London’, cake creator Peggy Porschen’s fairytale-esque Parlour has been featured in thousands of Instagram posts – and no influencer worth their salt can resist a visit. Swoon over the captivating floral installations, that change with the seasons, and indulge in an almost-too-pretty-to-eat selection of cakes, cookies and drinks. Bonus points for nabbing a table outside (you’ll want to brush up on your flat lay photo skills first, though).

Restaurant Ours

You can’t visit Restaurant Ours without posing against that flower wall. But it’s far from the only ‘gram-worthy spot – essentially an Instagram addict’s heaven, there are countless places to stage impromptu photoshoots. Huge fairy-lit trees (both indoors and on the terrace), a futuristic hallway entrance with retro light-up floor and tropical-inspired bathrooms all deserve a mention – don’t leave the table without your phone in-hand.

Sketch

This year has seen the Mayfair restaurant and bar undergo a fun new update. The powder pink Gallery has been kitted out in a whole new series of colourful David Shrigley designs, whilst the the Parlour (Sketch’s tea room-turned-bar) has also had a major revamp to give an air of early-90s decadence. Luckily for the selfie enthusiasts among us, the Insta-famous egg-shaped toilets are still going strong.

Tonight Josephine

Waterloo’s most Instagrammable new location has been filling our feeds, and it’s no surprise why – a millennial pink-painted Venus fly-trap of feminist neon signs, rose-lined ceilings and pastel-hued cocktails, you’ll be hard pushed not to find something to photograph. For the ultimate Insta-bait, order the ‘Violet Femme’ – a purple, gin-based drink served retro-style with a tube of Parma Violets – or the ‘Love Potion’ – a tangy blend of pineapple syrup, strawberries and prosecco poured into a glittery sugar-rimmed glass.
