6 London Pop-Ups For A Foodie Night Out

When it comes to evenings out in London, we’re big fans of all the foodie nights the city has to offer over the summer months. And despite the drop in temperature, it’s not over just yet – here are the six pop-ups still open for the season; packed with delicious street food, cocktails, music and more…

Dinerama

Set in a former bullion truck depot in Shoreditch, this 1,000-capacity market from London street food kings, Street Feast, is sure to get you in the party spirit. Open until 1am Thursday to Saturday, there’s a backyard-meets-warehouse party vibe on the ground floor (think resident DJs, communal tables, four bars and nine global street food traders), and cool breakout areas upstairs – including German Sex Dungeon, famed for its selection of craft beer, whisky shots and ‘submission’…

Fulham Beach Club

Escape to London's very own beach club paradise at this indoor/outdoor Thameside venue – where you can gather around candlelit benches, lay back on a lounge bed with friends, book your own beach hut or reserve an exclusive cabana. Back for its second year, it now boasts two bars and a choice of pop-up restaurants, alongside a variety of weekly events including DJ sets and themed parties, shuffleboard and ping pong, boozy bottomless brunches, cocktail masterclasses and glitter makeovers.

Giant Steps

This summer, the famous travelling sound system is taking a break from festival appearances to run a residency in a 20,000 sq ft warehouse complex in Hackney Wick – complete with canal-side terrace and indoor event space (filled with tropical foliage and huge pendant lights) where the famous Giant Steps sound-system has been installed. Expect events, live music performances and parties every weekend, plus a rotation of chefs and local restaurants serving BBQ fare out on the terrace.

Night Tales

The east London street food pop-up artists are back, and they’ve found their first ever permanent home: Bohemia Place – a 4,000 sq ft sun trap packed with themed bars and must-try food stalls, covered seating areas, swinging day beds, ten-person private booths, a 300-capacity nightclub, outdoor DJ booth and an 8m waterfall. Open until midnight on Thursdays and 3am Saturdays and Sundays, it’s a real party palace – expect live music sets from the likes of Disclosure, Foals (DJ), Cassius, Groove Armada and more.

Pergola On A Roof

A secret hideaway in the heart of west London, this sunny, summery paradise is back for a second year. Set over two beautifully decorated floors – one 80% covered (should the British weather take hold) and one completely open-air – there’s enough seating for 850 diners, seven giant day beds, four self-service restaurants and two fully-stocked bars. If you’re in a large group, this is definitely the place for you – the al fresco spot takes bookings for up to 199 people.

Pitch Stratford

Less than ten minutes’ walk from Stratford tube station, this vibrant (and weather-proof) pop-up is designed to recreate the feel of an urban garden, filled with fairy lights, graffiti murals, painted benches, private booths and colourful beanbags. Alongside serving up street food, beers, wines and cocktails, it’s also playing host to a series of summer parties, the space will also host film screenings, classes and networking sessions. And once it closes come 11pm, you can head down to Pitch’s very own secret speakeasy, The Curious Fox, downstairs for a cocktail (or two).
