8 Concealers To Help You Fake 9 Hours Sleep
I’m a firm believer that a great cover-up can be life changing and as a beauty editor, I’ve gone through a fair few formulas in my time – some good, some bad and some that, frankly, I would swap my favourite heels for (yes, really). I don’t need to tell you the myriad complexion concerns that concealers tackle, but let’s talk about my biggest battle: dark circles. If this rings true with you then you’ll know how impossible it can be to hide them.. In truth, they need a multidisciplinary approach, involving lotions, potions, colour correctors and a ruddy good cover-up. Weightier than its predecessor, NARS’ little pot of magic makes light work of concealing the tell-tale signs of a late night. It comes in ample shades – 16 to be exact – so if you struggle to find the right one for your skin tone you’re in luck. Add in an impressive blend of hyaluronic acid and vitamins A, C and E and you’re met with a worthy contender for the best concealer on the market.

In most instances, two products are better than one – and this is one of them. The experts over at Laura Mercier have doubled up with their concealer duo, which offers a clever two-shade system: a shade for your skin’s depth of colour and one for your undertones. In other words, you can create a custom shade just for your skin tone. We’re sold.
Benefit Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer, £17.50
If you’re suffering from fine lines and darkness it can be a battle between treating the two, as a lot of high coverage formulas aren’t suited for older skin. Luckily, this stick solves both beauty dilemmas by encasing a lightweight concealer inside a sheer, hydrating balm, leaving your skin moisturised, smooth and camouflaged.
Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer, £19.55
If you find yourself reapplying your cover-up on the regular, you’ll quickly fall in love with this long-lasting concealer. It comes with a doe-foot applicator, which makes for easy application (and is a hero for hiding blemishes). This formula stays put come rain or shine thanks to its water, sweat and humidity-resistant formula. It’s a summer staple.
Becca Ultimate Coverage Concealing Crème, £21
Trust Becca to deliver on coverage, their best-selling concealer is a no-brainer when it comes to pretending you’ve had a good night’s sleep. Smooth on using a brush or finger and blend avidly – it’s thick so you’ll need to put some welly in it.
