Located in Banqueting House, visitors will be able to climb on and sink into the world’s largest bean bag under the largest Rubens-painted ceiling in the world. The three-day event will include a series of talks, meditations and music, with highlights including bedtime stories (read by Poppy Delevingne and Claudia Winkleman) and morning meditation with app Happy Not Perfect and Richard E Grant.

The fourth of Inception Group’s Phileas Fogg-themed set of bars, Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration pulls into The Strand this Friday. Themed around the train station where our titular character made his first voyage, the bar will offer guests a journey around the world via train carriage (there’s a life-sized Orient Express right in the middle of the bar, where guests can book banquettes), map room and multi-sensory menu. We’re certainly intrigued…

Filipino ice-cream parlour Mamasons is introducing its street-style “dirty” ice cream to the streets of Chinatown with the launch of their new store. Opening on Saturday, the site will sell a range of Instagrammable pan-Asian puds, including its signature sell-out dessert, the ‘Bilog’: a traditional Filipino milk bun (pandesal) filled with ice cream, toasted in a hot press and dusted with icing sugar. Mmm.

DINE HERE: Genesis

Shoreditch has a new vegan hangout with the launch of Genesis, which opens this weekend. The menu is entirely plant-based, GMO-free and organic, and draws on global street food influences. The casual setting and counter-style service will ensure that food is delivered fresh, fast and fuss-free, while the restaurant’s contemporary design and striking neon artwork promises a fun and relaxed dining experience. We like the sound of the ‘American Woman’ burger (coleslaw, BBQ sauce, onion rings, jalapeños, and gherkins) followed by a vegan brownie sundae.

GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR FOOD HERE: CLAW Carnaby

It shouldn’t work, but it totally does: Two of London’s most loved restaurants – seafood experts CLAW Carnaby and Scottish eatery Mac & Wild – have teamed up to bring us this autumn’s most inventive food mash-up. The ‘Wild Claw’ combines Mac’s infamous rich Scottish venison sausages with succulent Salcombe lobster, topped with spicy Szechuan chilli and encased in a brioche roll. Sounds strange, tastes amazing. The Wild Claw will be available at both CLAW Carnaby and Mac & Wild until the end of September.
