Beauty Brand To Know: Milk Makeup

Get set for a shopping frenzy, Milk makeup is finally making its way to the UK. With 1.1m followers on Instagram and a celebrity following that reads like an Oscar winner list, Milk delivers - big time! SL contributor Tamara Corin tells all...

The background…

Founded by Manchester lass and former beauty and health editor, now E! news correspondent, Zanna Roberts Rassi, is the beauty and brains behind the range. Zanna, together with husband, Mazdack, dreamed up the makeup brand after noticing at their Milk photo studios that makeup artists were lacking low-maintenance and sustainable products in their kits.

The ethos behind the brand…

Making waves in the US ever since its launch in 2016, Milk strives to create the concept of ‘clean beauty’ while delivering top-class makeup with little impact on the environment. Setting up shop in the UK, was a no-brainer. The Insta-worthy pretty packaging and 100 per cent vegan, cruelty-free and paraben-free credentials have quickly made Milk the top of beauty junkie’s favourite brands.

Why the fuss?

Skincare in a stick (hell, yeh!) brush-free makeup, holographic colours, intense pigments and temporary tattoo stamps are just some reasons to jump on board. While multi-use makeup and skincare staples fit perfectly for busy lifestyles. Fingers are all you need to blend the formulas, while the solid textures mean the end to handbag spills (and airport decanting). For those of you who tend to apply makeup on your morning commute, this is a complete game-changer.

What to buy?

Kush High Volume Mascara gives lashes 15 times more volume while conditioning with the latest hottest ingredient – CBD oil. For a concealer that stays put and cools and calms blemishes, Flex Concealer is a sure winner – packed with Marshmallow Root Powder that gives it a springy effect (just like marshmallows). Another SL favourite is the Matcha Cleanser – A solid soap-free stick that cleans, exfoliates and fights redness in-one. And there’s more… a watermelon serum, a brightening face mask, a tattoo stamp, the list goes on and on…

What’s the price point?

Products last for ages – a little goes a long way, yet surprisingly they won’t break the bank. Prices start at £10.25 for the tattoo stamps and range to £34 for the foundation.

Where to buy?
