6 Street Style Trends From Copenhagen Fashion Week

Paris, New York, London, Milan... Copenhagen? In recent years, the Danish city has established itself as the fifth fashion week, and if you ask us, none of the other big cities come close when it comes to street style.

From the local girls showing off their style chops to the US exports embracing those hot-ticket Scandi brands, we admired the attendee’s looks from afar during last week’s #CPHFW (that’s Copenhagen Fashion Week, obv). Here’s what we learnt from the glittering roster of street style stars...

Acids Are In

We’ve already told you neon’s a big deal for spring but now the proof is in the pudding, thanks to an array of fashion girls hitting the Copenhagen streets in acid brights. Pink is the safe way to go, but we love daring pops of yellow and green for true commitment to the trend.

Capes Are A Thing

Fashionistas are shunning their coats for capes for a dramatic look. A surprisingly chic way to beat the cold, we love how these two have incorporated the blanket look into the tonal trend for head-to-toe glamour.

Checks Are On Steroids

When it comes to checks this season, make everything oversized, from the print itself to the coats it adorns. We particularly love Lisa Aiken’s take, with skinny black leggings for a bit of balance.

Neutrals + Brown = Fashion Win

Brown has been rearing its head for a while now, and fashion girls in Copenhagen have been proving its wearability. Just add neutrals to give the shade a sophisticated spin – and if you’re feeling brave, embrace the two-toned cow print, which is set to be huge this season.

Pink Is Still OK

Millenial pink fans rejoice – the trend is still very much alive. Ok, it may have taken on a more raspberry incarnation this CPHFW, but pair the new hue with existing blush and pastel pieces and you’re winning.

Trenches Work For Winter

Street style stars are making their trenches work harder by giving them a winter spin. Just add a heavy dose of cashmere and Uniqlo’s magic heattech to pull off the look successfully.
