1. The brand: AllEven
The hype: After years of searching for a year-round effective body concealer, former supermodel Celia Forner created this fast-drying, long-wearing body concealer to diminish bruises, marks and blemishes while giving limbs a sun-kissed glow. Imperfections will disappear in seconds with this cosmetic airbrush that leaves a flawless veil to skin. Rumour has it, Queen Bey was sprayed to perfection at last year’s Coachella performance with this wonder product.
2. The brand: Ecooking
The hype: After a personal crisis led to Tina Sogaard’s skin becoming stressed, dull and grey, she experimented with ingredients in her kitchen, making potions in an attempt to find a solution to her troubled skin. Before long, family and friends noticed Tina’s skin transformation and begged to try her handmade products. Word spread and Ecooking (the amalgamation of ecological and cooking) was born – a dual reference to the natural ingredients and the brand’s humble birthplace. The line consists of 40 products that are 100% paraben-free and so pure they’re perfectly safe to eat.
3. The brand: Africology
The hype: Taking its cue from ancient healing traditions and harnessing the power of Africa’s hero ingredients – Rooibos, Aloe Ferox, Marula and African Potato – this range of face, bath and body products is holistic as well as functional. South-African born Renchia Droganis combines her knowledge as a trained aromatherapist, reiki master, metaphysical counsellor, life coach and holistic healer (that’s one hell of a CV!) into these home-grown products with the ethos that “what is taken from earth is replaced.”
4. The brand: Alfesco
The hype: It’s just the one product for this brand, but it’s worth a hundred mentions. Alfresco is a natural insect repellent that won’t repel adults, just bugs. Disguised as a refreshingly scented skin nourishing moisturiser, it works to repel mosquitos and midges without the all-too-common chemical overload of DEET, making it safe for little ones too. Celebrities such as Penélope Cruz and Jude Law have been known to request it when filming in humid locations.
5. The brand: Stripped Skincare
The hype: After Sinead Hughes was unable to find natural solutions for her adult acne, she took matters into her own hands. In search of a range of gentle everyday products to help treat oily, spot-prone skin, she went on to study for a Diploma in Natural Skin Formulation and created Stripped. Containing only six carrier oils and four essential oils, these oils balance sebum, clear blemishes and stops them returning. SL’s favourite is the citrus-smelling Rosehip & Mandarin Moisturising Oil.

The hype: Working as a makeup artist, 22-year old Jessica Blackler noticed a huge gap in the market for stylish, affordable make-up for men as well as women. This gender-neutral make-up collection covers everything from blemishes to beard shadow. Cruelty-free and vegan friendly, with a celebrity fan base that includes Tess Daly, Gok Wan amongst others, we predict this is just the beginning of a fresh approach to unisex make-up.

The hype: The first of its kind – an innovative, waterless, acetone-free nail polish removal cream that dissolves polish, provides nail care and actually smells good. 8. The brand: OHNE
The hype: An organic tampon subscription service (yes, really). Their mission is all about reshaping the way people shop for their period products. With the aim to bust taboos and normalise talking about periods, they absorb the tampon tax for their subscribers and work towards helping girls in Zambia who struggle to gain access to sanitary products and menstrual education. Big news is the launch of their period pain CBD oil drops: rub on your tummy for pain relief or put a few drops on your tampon!
9. The brand: Nazan Schnapp Skincare
The hype: The new-age trend of crystal healing has made its way onto the beauty scene with this Swiss eco-brand, which consists of cleansers, facial oils, masks, face masks and toners, all infused with the power of healing crystals to promote harmony and balance inside out. Vegan-friendly and 100% natural, Emma Watson and Kenya Kinski-Jones already big fans.
10. The brand: Disciple
The hype: Created by psychotherapist Charlotte Ferguson and specifically designed for stressed-out skin. Ferguson noticed a direct link between hormone levels triggering inflammatory skin issues such as adult-acne, eczema and premature ageing. Each bottle – hand-blended in small batches – contains prebiotics, adaptogens and linoleic acid to create a capsule stress-busting skincare line that delivers.
11. The brand: The Beauty Kitchen
The hype: Not another natural beauty brand, we hear you say. But unlike competitors, this award-winning skin, hair, body and bath range is a great introduction to the natural beauty sector, with hard-working ingredients such as seahorse plankton (AKA, ‘the king of micro algae’) that fights ageing and feeds the skin. With a recent stamp of approval from the Vegan Society, this Scottish-born brand uses pre-cycled, recycled and recyclable packaging for everything. Even their labels are made from Rock Paper – yep that’s right, Rock Paper – which is made from waste limestone rock. Paper, water and bleach free! Frankly, it’s hard to find fault in the brand.
