This month we’ve rounded up some of the best finds for mums and dads, guaranteed to keep the kids busy and parents happy – from NET-A-PORTER’s new kid’s clothing line through to innovative gadgets for new and not-so-new parents…

NET-A-PORTER Kid’s Casuals

Following its sold-out, online-only Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana childrenswear pop-up shops last year, NET-A-PORTER has launched a multi-brand kids’ collection. For now, seven handpicked brands have created exclusive capsule collections for the fashion retailer – companies include Yeah Right NYC Kids, Alanui Kids, ATM Kids, Chinti & Parker Kids, Lingua Franca Kids, Golden Goose Deluxe and Veja. Each of the seven labels cater for girls and boys aged one to 12. We’ve got our eyes on Veja’s Esplar metallic leather sneakers.

Bump & Baby Club

Bump & Baby Club is an independent provider of antenatal classes in London. The team brings together local people, creating communities of like-minded parents-to-be whose babies are due around the same time. Dating back to 2013, the club was formed to find the best-loved antenatal instructors in the capital. Together with them, and the thoughts and feedback from dozens of new parents, the team created its ideal antenatal course – comprehensive, interactive, unbiased, supportive, sociable and fun. Now, with a team of 40 dedicated instructors, venues in 36 locations and thousands of people having passed through the doors, these modern antenatal classes give people the best possible preparation for parenthood while connecting them with local parents-to-be.

Kensington Suite Nannies

The Kensington has launched a new family package: ‘Suite Nannies’. The UK’s leading nanny agency, Imperial Nannies, will hand-pick the perfect companion for each family booking the package. They will act as the children’s very own ‘Mary Poppins’ and even come equipped with their very own carpet bag, full of toys, games and surprises. The package includes trips to local attractions such as Battersea Children’s Zoo, Kensington Palace, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum, with the nanny. After a day exploring the city, the family will meet up back at The Kensington for afternoon tea. The day ends with hot chocolate and storytelling for the children back at the suite, while parents can kick back at the hotel’s K Bar and enjoy a selection of small plates and champagne.

Of the collection – which includes wall sticker sets, prints, shoes and clothing – we love the cosy bunny blankets, complete with floppy ears. The ‘nursery set’ includes a height chart, canopy and cot bumper, while the ‘parent to be pack’ includes a muslin, grey star teether, a stylish black baby bag and a cloud dribble bib.

Moonlite

Inspired by her daughter’s love of shadow play before bedtime, Canadian mother and former Google veteran Natalie Rebot created Moonlite, an immersive children’s story book projector for mobile phones. The small device clips onto your smartphone and uses the torch to project vibrant storybook images onto any surface. While projecting the storybook images, the Moonlite app displays story text and plays charming sound effects, creating a special story time experience for you and your child. Current tales include Mr Men, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Beatrix’s Potter’s The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
