HEAD OUTDOORS HERE: Vinegar Yard
London Bridge’s Vinegar Yard has added two new bars to its line-up of street-food traders and independent retailers. Housed inside a pergola garden draped in greenery and flowers, Tanqueray Terrace will serve a punchy menu comprising four seasonal Tanqueray gin-based cocktails and six botanical spritzes. Also coming to Vinegar Yard is the Courtyard Bar, a craft beer emporium which can host up to 200 people. Offering craft beers from Meantime Brewery in Greenwich alongside lines from local breweries situated along on the ‘Bermondsey Beer Mile’, the Courtyard Bar will be the ideal starting- or end-point for those attempting the beer-fuelled challenge. The two new bars will sit alongside Vinegar Yard’s ‘high street’ of vintage and artisanal retailers. It’s the perfect place to visit when the sun comes out.

We like the sound of the Floral Marquee, which will bring together expert growers for a cornucopia of summer colour and scents, from sweet peas and clematis to cacti and carnivorous plants. New to the show will be the ‘Wild Garden Banquet’ hosted by Michelin-starred Merlin Labron-Johnson. Here, guests can book a foraging experience around the wild garden before sitting down to enjoy the ingredients. Regina Hall (Girls Trip) stars as the hardworking manager of Double Whammies, a “sports bar with curves.” She runs the joint like a family, but over the course of one challenging day her incurable optimism is tested by sketchy employees, bad customers and an even worse boss. A comedy at its heart, the film also explores casual sexism, racism and abuse in a touching manner. A must-watch.
