Thanks for chatting to us Zeynep. What inspired you to start the brand?
A white shirt has always been the most classic wardrobe essential for many women, myself included. It is my favourite foundation piece for any outfit, but I was always searching for a white shirt brand which combined the perfect fit and a high-quality fabric at the time, but it was not easy to find. So, that was my main motivation to start creating our first pieces. Plus, I always believe mono-collection works so well – it makes it easier for busy women to hone in on what they’re looking for.
So, what makes the brand different?
Every single piece is uniquely handmade through a special craftsmanship with years of experience. Plus, our quality standards are much higher than you’ll find in other fashion companies.
What is it about a white shirt that makes it so alluring to everyone?
White represents purity, wholeness and completion. I love that simplicity, cleanliness and minimalism of white colour. I think it’s a very simple wardrobe piece but at the same time the most elegant.
What do you think makes the perfect white shirt?
Original fit, cool detailing and top-quality fabrics.
And which one of your designs has been the most popular?
The Celine piece has been the most popular style since we launched. It can be easily styled with denim for everyday or with chic trousers or a skirt for a big event. It is the carry over style of every season, plus it has fabric alternatives in silk or cotton poplin.
What's been the best moment for the brand so far?
Seeing the Instagram post of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing our Ewa jumpsuit was definitely a breath-taking moment for me. It was a very proud occasion and a huge pleasure to be able to tap into her style with our design.
What's your favourite way to style a white shirt?
For me, a white shirt with jeans and a red lip works for practically every occasion.
Finally, what does the future hold?
Our aim is to build up an international brand. We will be presenting our spring/summer 2020 main line by the end of September, which is very exciting.
