Catherine The Great, Now TV

Oscar winner Helen Mirren leads this mini-series as the tumultuous monarch and politician who ruled the Russian empire and transformed its place in the 18th-century world. The four-part historical drama tracks the end of Catherine’s reign and her affair with military leader Grigory Potemkin (Jason Clark) that helped shape the future of Russian politics. A must-watch.

Dolemite Is My Name, Netflix

Eddie Murphy and Wesley Snipes shine in this biopic from Craig Brewer, the director of Hustle & Flow. Academy Award nominee Murphy portrays real-life legend Rudy Ray Moore, a comedy and rap pioneer who proved naysayers wrong when his hilarious, obscene, kung-fu fighting alter ego, Dolemite, became a 1970s Blaxploitation phenomenon.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, Netflix

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie reunites fans with Jesse Pinkman (Emmy-winner Aaron Paul). In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future. This gripping thriller is written and directed by Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad. We can’t wait.

Eli, Netflix

Lili Taylor (The Nun) and Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) co-star in this haunted house tale with a twist. With his desperate parents in tow, 11-year-old Eli – a boy with a debilitating illness – checks into an isolated clinic to undergo experimental therapy.

Fractured, Netflix

Sam Worthington (Avatar) stars in this thriller from Brad Anderson, director of The Machinist and Transsiberian. Ray Monroe (Worthington) and his wife Joanne (Lily Rabe) rush their daughter to hospital when she is hurt in an accident. After being sent away for further testing, his wife and daughter vanish and all records of their visit disappear. Ray’s concern turns into a desperate race to find his family and discover the truth of what happened to them.

In The Tall Grass, Netflix

In The Tall Grass is based on the novella by Stephen King and Joe Hill. When siblings Becky and Cal hear the cries of a young boy lost within a field of tall grass, they venture in to rescue him, only to become ensnared themselves by a sinister force that quickly disorients and separates them. Cut off from the world and unable to escape the field’s tightening grip, they soon discover the only thing worse than getting lost is being found.

Paul Rudd (Clueless, Knocked Up) stars as two versions of the same man in this existential comedy. Struggling in life, Miles Elliott undergoes a novel spa treatment that promises to make him a better person, only to learn he's been replaced – literally – by a better version of himself. Also stars Aisling Bea.

Rhythm & Flow, Netflix

In this music competition show, judges Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris, Cardi B and Chance the Rapper hit the streets of Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York to find the next rap superstar. Hip-hop heavyweights like Snoop Dogg, Quavo, DJ Khaled, Anderson. Paak and Nipsey Hussle join the judges on the journey. Who will scrap their way to a shot at the top?

The Laundromat, Netflix

Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas star in director Steven Soderbergh’s sly exposé of the Panama Papers leak. The film follows a widow (Streep) as she investigates an insurance fraud, chasing leads to a pair of Panama City law partners (Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas) exploiting the world’s financial system.

A shootout with police leaves four suspects dead after an explosive armed robbery attempt in Chicago.
