The second series of this podcast from master orator Stephen Fry focuses on each of the Seven Sins in an attempt to better analyse and understand them. Researched, written and read by one of Britain’s most beloved actors, the new series follows a hugely successful first outing, which looked in detail at the mind-blowing stories behind some of history’s biggest inventions. Great for those looking for a bit of intellectual stimulation.

This new podcast from Simon Thomas follows the TV presenter’s hugely moving book Love, Interrupted: Navigating Grief One Day at a Time, exploring how he coped with losing his wife Gemma to acute myeloid leukaemia just three days after she was diagnosed. In this new podcast series, Simon is joined by different celebrities – first up is Fearne Cotton – to discuss how crisis and desperation can lead to hope and inspiration for a new and happy life.

Hosted by the ex-Bake Off presenter, this new podcast chronicles Mel Giedroyc and her pal Andy Bush’s attempt to patch together a quilt using squares of material donated by friends, celebrities and even listeners.  Along the way, they discover the stories behind the fabrics and develop their sewing skills, as well as having a big old chat. Comforting and cosy.
