Style Watch: 6 Looks We Love This Week

Fans of the SheerLuxe Show will be familiar with our regular Style Watch section, in which we dissect the coolest looks we've seen lately. We thought it was about time we brought it to the site too – from a slick ribbed midi dress to the oversized blazer we love, here’s what our fashion team think.

LOOK 1:

Lu Hough: This is my kind of summer party style – a fabulous statement short skirt and sky high heels, balanced with a simple oversized white tee. It’s got that 'I didn't try to hard but still look killer' vibe.

Charlotte Collins: Anyone with sequin pieces in their wardrobe that they’re not sure how to wear should pay attention to this. Swap out the heels for a trainer, and you have a surprisingly everyday way to style a party piece.

LOOK 2:

LH: There’s no shortage of billowy white dresses right now but this Toteme version is a clear winner. The voluminous shape and shirred details add interest.

CC: This is proof summer dressing doesn’t have to mean showing lots of skin. Adding statement black accessories creates the perfect monochrome look.

LOOK 3:

LH: This is a real lesson in how to mix styles. Dressed up on top, with a formal blazer laden with gold jewels, but dressed down on the bottom with sporty socks and chunky trainers. I love it.

CC: If you’re missing your tailored pieces right now, here’s how to make them work for even the most casual of outings. Roll up the sleeves and add sporty elements for a surprisingly relaxed look.

LOOK 4:

LH: Boyfriend shirts are a wardrobe essential, all year round, while the metallic accessories make it feel a bit more feminine and glam.

CC: Another great high-low balance, this oversized shirt and heels combination is the on-trend way to do sexy this summer. Extra points if you borrow his shirt…

LOOK 5:

LH: Sometimes all you need is one killer accessory to do all the talking. This statement belt completely makes the look.

CC: A hot pink dress, a bright red lip and a statement belt equals the ultimate party look. It’s a clever hack for making slip dresses more flattering, too.

LOOK 6:

LH: She's rocking a very RHW-inspired look here. Texture is key to making this head-to-toe neutral outfit more interesting.

CC: This dress works because of its length – any shorter and it would look seriously dated. Ribbed pieces work perfectly in a midi or maxi cut – just add slick accessories for a polished look.
