Get The Look: A Calm, Serene Bedroom

Interior designer to the stars Rose Uniacke – think the Beckhams and Jo Malone – is known for her refined and serene style. This bedroom in Holland Park is no exception, exemplifying her ability to design calm and liveable spaces. Here she tells us how she did it, so you can replicate the look.

About The Design…

"The vision for Holland Park Villas is one of understated luxury and refinement," Rose explains. "Impeccable workmanship and superlative organic materials unify the scheme of stone, marble, leather, velvet and cashmere, linen and hard-woods. Light-filled and serene, every detail is thoughtfully considered and diligently perfected with antique furniture presented alongside contemporary pieces."

About The Fabrics…

Throughout the property, fabrics include soft natural linens, luxurious cashmeres, rust-coloured and bottle green velvets, with cushions upholstered in vintage Fortuny silk.

About The Furniture…

Rose’s own bespoke Carrara Cone lamps flank the canopied bed, incorporating tonal layers of white cotton and soft linen. Book-matched Library Chairs and a Rose Uniacke Hoof Occasional Table are placed beneath a pair of abstract etchings by Victor Passmore, while a Limited Edition Writing Table – also designed by Rose – in veneered Amboyna Wood sits close to a caned stitched armchair, wrapped with soft cream leather.
