TOOLS + ACCESSORIES

Beauty Pie Perfect Contour & Highlight Brush, £40

We’re always on the hunt for new make-up brushes, and this one from Beauty Pie doesn’t disappoint. A two-in-one, it doubles-up to blend both your highlighter and contour creams – though you can use it for blusher, bronzer and powders, too. It’s soft, but firm enough to really buff in your make-up for a smooth and seamless finish. Use the smaller end to conceal in those difficult-to-reach areas – like around the nose and under the eyes.

MagicStripes Facial Dry Brush, £32

You may associate dry brushing only with your body, but it can work wonders for your complexion, too. If you’re so inclined, try this tool from MagicStripes. With gentle but firm, bristles, it stimulates your skin and encourages sluggish cells to turn over for a fresher-looking glow. Begin by brushing across your décolleté, then out towards your shoulders, before focusing on the neck and brushing upwards over your ears. Gently move the brush around your lips and eyes, before finishing off at the nose, moving outwards towards your cheeks. For extra benefits, rinse your face with ice cold water afterwards.

HA Designs, Personalised Medium Leather & PVC Cosmetic Bag, £40

We love this slick new make-up bag, which can also be personalised. The ideal size, it’s wide enough to fit all your daily staples but compact enough to take with you on-the-go. The handy transparent window is easy to clean – plus, it makes it easy to see what’s inside.

Oxygen Boutique LED Mirror, £45

For £45, this LED mirror is a steal in comparison to other versions on the market. Designed with a simple stand, it’s easy to fold away and pack into luggage – not to mention incredibly lightweight. The lighting is easy to adjust, too. Simply hold down the button to up the brightness or dim things down. You’ll be amazed how it illuminates your complexion and mimics the effect of natural light to ensure a well-blended make-up look.

Laura Mercier Rose Glow Caviar Sticks, £25

If you love Laura Mercier’s iconic Caviar Sticks, you’ll love these new ‘Rose Glow’ colours, which offer a feminine, romantic take on the traditional smokey eye. The tones are neutral – think champagnes and soft pinks – but vivid enough to bring some warmth and definition to the eye area. Just like the originals, they’re easy to scribble on and blend out with your fingers – no special technique or brushes required. Plus, the finely-milled pearl pigments in each shade catch the light beautifully – one of our favourite Laura Mercier launches to date.

Surratt La Baton Rouge Lipsticks, £36

Surratt Beauty has never been better, and their new Rouge Lipsticks prove it. With intense pigment payoff and a classic matte finish, they offer lips some subtle definition without ever looking overdone. Initially applied as a cream, the pigment soon sets as a powder, giving you comfortable longevity, without the tight feeling. We love the fun, domed shape baton which helps you push the product in for an on-trend, velvet-y finish.

Chantecaille Leopard Luminescent Eye Shade, £48

The colours in this tonal eye palette look beautiful on all skin tones, perfectly balancing luminosity with matte textures for a multi-dimensional finish. Use a soft, buffing brush and sweep it over all the shades before applying directly onto your eyelids. To enhance the depth of the pigment, simply dampen the brush first. There’s no need to limit this just to your eyes, either – a little swept over cheeks will softly sculpt and define your face, just like a bronzer would.

HUDA Beauty Legit Lashes Mascara, £13

This new mascara offers the best of both worlds. Dual-ended, choose between volume and curl, or length and separation for a softer, daytime effect. The rich, black pigment looks and feels expensive, while the clump-free formula is impressive. Even if you have small, stubby lashes, you’ll notice an immediate difference with just a single swipe. The hourglass-shaped wand also allows you to reach every little hair for extra fullness and thickness. One of the best mascaras we’ve tried this year.

Valentino Beauty Brow Trio Brow Filler Pen, £36

Valentino recently launched its first ever make-up range. With 40 different shades of foundation and 50 different lipstick tones, there’s something for everyone in the line-up, with plenty of hard-working formulas which deliver every time. Our favourite range is this clever brow pen. Housing a liquid ink liner, shading pencil and a spoolie brush, it has everything you need to create natural, sculpted brows. Start by brushing hairs into place, then lightly use the pen and pencil to fake hair-like strokes. Experts recommend using the liquid to create believable faux freckles, too.

Wander Beauty Dualist Matte & Illuminating Concealer, £28

On the hunt for a brightening concealer? This will do the job. Formulated with both a traditional concealer and an illuminating liquid, use it to hide blemishes or uneven tone, and boost a dull complexion. Added aloe vera and vitamin E are a bonus – both strengthen and hydrate skin for a suppler-looking finish. You’ll find the texture is high coverage, so only use a little to start with and build up gradually for best results.

Olivia Palermo Eyeshadow Palette in Soiree, £43

Every inch as luxe as you’d expect, Olivia Palermo’s newest beauty line is seriously slick. The weighty, gold packaging caught our attention first and foremost, but as you play with the textures, you soon understand the hype. Soft and blendable, the eyeshadow palettes – especially smokey Soiree – come with plenty of suits-all tones and check out the lipsticks, too. Creamy, with a velvet-y texture, they’ll fake a fuller effect, and never dry down cakey or creased. We love the shade ‘Poppy’ – a deep coral that brightens teeth and your overall complexion.

BODYCARE

BANGN Body Firming & Brightening Beauty Treatment, £37

This does-it-all body treatment makes a real difference to skin. Brimming with hydrating ingredients, it quickly adds moisture and locks it in for visible results. If you suffer with scaliness or dryness around your shins and elbows, expect this to soften your limbs in just a few uses. The best bit? The formula is thin and silky, so you can apply it quite liberally without fear of sticking to your clothes or bed sheets. Once finished, you can recycle the jar – extra points go to the vegan and cruelty-free formula.

Bodyography Face & Body Bronzing Gloss, $39

Just because it’s autumn doesn’t mean you can’t maintain a warm glow year-round. Bodyography – the brand make-up artists love – has just dropped a new Face and Body Bronzing Gloss ideal for this time of year. Silky-smooth with a gel texture, massage it into the skin for a believable hint of warmth. Added jojoba oil creates a seamless glide with zero chance of streaks, and we recommend applying it with a brush for best results. Use it on both the body and face, or mixed in with a moisturiser or foundation for a more muted glow.

HAIRCARE

Anese.co Hydrating Body & Hair Elixir, $28

Another multi-purpose staple, this moisturises, hydrates and soothes skin and hair. Brimming with aloe vera, sea holly and holy water, it tightens pores for a smoother finish, while locking in moisture for a suppler-looking complexion. As for hair, mist it over dry strands to boost shine and its condition – you’ll love the soft scent it leaves behind. Keep one in your desk drawer or bag to hit refresh throughout the day.

Fable & Mane HoliRoots Repairing Hair Mask, £28

Hair masks are everywhere right now, but it can still be hard to ones which deliver nourishment without weighing your hair down. Cue Fable & Mane’s latest mask – formulated with coconut and shine-boosting nutrients, it locks in hydration without any tell-tale stickiness. The holiday scent is highly addictive, as is the bounce and body it gives your hair. Apply as much as you feel you need, from root to tip, while hair is still damp. Massage it on and leave for five minutes – or longer depending how parched your strands are – then rinse it out with warm water. Suitable for all hair types.

SKINCARE

Bamford Vitamin C Serum

If you love all things Bamford, you’ll be pleased to hear its popular skincare range is back with a host of new, slick formulations. From face mists to SPF, it’s brimming with everyday staples.  Our favourite new addition has to be the Vitamin C Serum. Luxe in texture, it uses fruit antioxidants to protect against issues like pollution, but also to brighten and improve skin’s tone over time. Unlike other vitamin C serums, it feels silky-smooth, with the kind of hydrating finish we love.

Dr Sam Bunting Flawless Neutralising Gel, £28

Dr. Sam Bunting is known for her in-depth expertise and sound knowledge of all things skin, so you can rest assured her products won’t disappoint. The latest to join her ever-growing range is this Flawless Neutralising Gel. With 40% of adults experiencing blemish-prone skin, Sam wanted to create a formula to address breakouts, while neutralising the redness they can often cause. Inside this lightweight gel, you’ll find salicylic acid, azelaic acid and bakuchiol, all of which work together to unclog blocked pores and refine uneven texture. Extra points go to the added squalene, which works to hydrate and counteract any dryness.

CANDLE BRAND

Evermore London, Venus Candle, £55

New candle brand Evermore London isn’t one to be missed. Founder Sarah Bell wanted to create a line-up of fragrances that were sustainable and eco-friendly, with potent scents that linger for hours. Made from a blend of rapeseed and soy, the wax is biodegradable  while the packaging is made from recyclable glass, so you never have any of that throwaway guilt. It’s hard to choose a favourite, but ‘Venus’ is a must-try if you want to keep the summer feeling going. Notes of gardenia, jasmine and velvet musk combine for a fresh, soft fragrance reminiscent of floral gardens.
