From the at-home dye tint Georgie loves, to the brow growth enhancer Becky’s never without, here the SheerLuxe team share their favourite brow products of all time…

Mia Luckie, SheerLuxe Marketing Director

Bubuxy Hair Scissors Set, £5.73

“This kit is the secret to achieving clean, well-shaped brows. I get mine threaded, but in between appointments, I’ll trim and tidy them up using this set. Use it when you tint brows too, as you can see where there are unruly hairs or wayward areas that need tidying up.”

Available at Amazon.co.uk

Eyeko Brow Gel – Clear, £18

“I don’t usually buy clear brow gels, but this is an exception. Non-sticky, it quickly grooms brows and gives brows a glossy finish while keeping everything in place. It’s lightweight, waterproof and ideal for achieving the laminated effect that’s so on trend.”

Available at Eyeko.co.uk

NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil, £10

“NYX’s Micro Brow Pencil in Taupe has been my go-to for years. It quickly creates sharp definition, and the fine tip is ideal for mimicking fine hair-like strokes where you need them most. It’s a repeat buy for me.”

Available at Boots.com

Schwarzkopf Brow Tint Permanent Eyebrow Colour, £7

“If you want to tint your brows at home, this is the best kit for novices. Long lasting, I only use it once a month, but the results are really impressive. It gives you an instant lift, without being too time-consuming – plus it’s minimal faff.”

Beauty Pie Arch-ology 2-In-1 Clear Brow Gel, £25

“I’ve tried lots of brow gels over the years but this is my favourite. The dark brown colour is the perfect match for my eyebrows and the consistency is ideal for creating that fluffy effect without it ever going hard or crunchy. It also stays put all day – I’ve had so many compliments since using it. Also, the tube lasts ages as there’s plenty of product in there. I’ve also noticed that my brows feel healthier when I use this – it almost feels like a nourishing treatment. It’s worth stocking up – Beauty Pie products tend to sell out fast.

Available at BeautyPie.com

Collection Colour Lash All Day Wear Colour Mascara Clear, £1.99

“This eyebrow gel has been in my make-up bag for about ten years – my sisters and I swear by it. A really useful hack if you want the ‘soap brow’ effect without going OTT, simply brush your eyebrows upwards after you’ve filled in any gaps. It’s also so affordable, I don’t know how many tubes I’ve gone through over the years, but it lasts ages. It can make your brows feel a bit hard, but you won’t see any residue and they will stay put all day.”

Available at Boots.com

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, £23

“Hands down, this is my favourite eyebrow pencil. The nib is fine, so it’s easy to make your brows look fuller, but not overdone. The spoolie on one side is good for brushing brows into shape, while the pencil is very soft, and comes in a great selection of colours. It does run out quite quickly (I have to replace it every few months) but the quality is second to none. It’s also useful for drawing on faux freckles, too.”

Available at CultBeauty.co.uk

Eylure Dybrow Dye Kit – Dark Brown, £7.50

“I’ve tried a few at-home tint kits and this is one of the best I’ve come across. Ideal if you already have dark hair or brows, this picks up every tiny hair, so your brows look full without having to use other products to fill them in. I leave mine on for quite a while (30 minutes or more) which probably isn’t advised, but the formula is gentle, so you don’t have to worry about irritation, even if you have sensitive skin. Its’ very cost effective and the results last a few weeks at a time. A great all-rounder if you’ve never tried at-home tinting before.”

Available at Boots.com

Becky Hull, SheerLuxe Beauty Editor

RapidBrow Enhancing Serum, £29.19

“There’s a reason this continues to be a bestseller – while it requires patience, the results are impressive. I’ve gone through three tubes and always notice the difference peptides and strengthening biotin make to my brows. Just know as soon as you stop using it, your brow hairs will return to their natural growth pattern, so it’s one to repurchase.”

Available at Amazon.co.uk

Morphe 2 Brow Crush Gel, £7

“I’m a huge fan of this brow gel. Not only is it affordable, it has a small brush head that lets you build volume to mimic the appearance of thicker brows. A must-try if you love the ‘boy brow’ effect, just be sure to wipe the wand against the tube to take off any excess product first.”

Available at Morphe.com

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze, £24

“If you want a glossy, fluffy, laminated look, this really is the only product you need. Unlike other gels, it’s easy to apply and won’t leave behind any stickiness. Simply dab a spoolie into it, before running the formula through your brow hairs in upward strokes. You’ll notice a difference immediately.”

Available at CultBeauty.co.uk

Tweezerman Shaping Spiral Brow & Lash Brush, £6

“Everyone needs a good brow brush, and this is by far the best I’ve tried. With firm bristles, it quickly sculpts every hair into place, so even on days when you don’t want to use product on your brows, they look tidy and groomed. It works well with formulas like Anastasia’s Brow Freeze, too.”

Suman Brows

“Not a product but a person, and my absolute number one brow tip, Suman is the master of microblading and the only person I  trust to touch my brows. A total perfectionist with the best eye in the business, she’s given me the best, most natural and effortlessly groomed brows. It’s not a cheap treatment (and not totally without pain) but once done, you’ll only require a top-up every couple of years so it’s a worthy investment – if you can get an appointment, that is.”

Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil, £22.50

“There are a million and one great brow pencils out there, but this is one I come back to time and again because nothing else is quite as fool proof. The size and shape of the spoolie is just perfect for brushing up brows and identifying missing hairs, while the shade match and shape of the pencil tip is second to one. A few light strokes just where they’re needed, and my brows are good to go.”

Available at BenefitCosmetics.com

BBB London Nourishing Brow Oil, £22

“I love the nourishing power of an oil, and it’s no different for my brows. Although this oil is packed full of cosseting ingredients like sweet almond oil that are known to help strengthen and condition hairs, it’s the lavender and sandalwood scented aroma that makes it a favourite. I keep a bottle on my bedside table and apply it on a freshly cleansed brow (and temples) before going to sleep. Over time you’ll notice hairs that look denser and more groomed, too.”

RefectoCil Cream Hair Tint in Brown + RefectoCil Oxidant Liquid Developer, £5.99

“I dye my brows fortnightly with these two products. They give a natural, believable tint – unlike others on the market – and are quick and easy to use. Plus, the results really go the distance with an even fade.”

Available at Amazon.co.uk

Glossier Boy Brow in Brown, £14

“Once my eyebrows are tinted, I’ll use Boy Brow to fill in any sparse patches. It’s one of the best gels around and quickly tames unruly brows while adding volume. It’s not too thick either, so it won’t leave any unnecessary residue behind.”

Adeola Gboyega, Make-Up Artist & SheerLuxe Beauty Contributor

BBB London Ultimate Arch Definer in Clove, £22

“This pencil is so easy to use. It’s dual-ended with a retractable, triangular brow pencil for precise application, and a unique, oval-shaped brush for blending. Afterwards, my brows look perfect and the results last a long time.”

Available at NETAPORTER.com

Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows in Black Brown, £19

“I am obsessed with this product. A tinted brow gel, it has a micro-precision brush to add texture and fullness. The dark brown shade matches my brow hair colour perfectly, so everything looks quite natural.”

Available at CharlotteTilbury.com

Zoe Taylor, Make-Up Artist & SheerLuxe Beauty Contributor

Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Brow Pencil in Medium, £21

“I have quite fair, cool-toned brows and this is one of the best pencils I’ve tried. The fine tip provides extra definition,  just remember to use it in light, deft motions.”

Available at LookFantastic.com

Glossier Brow Flick, £15

“Brow pens are everywhere right now but this is still the best in my opinion. With several shades, it suits all brow colours, while the fine felt tip enables you to create very fine lines that look totally believable. It’s amazing for adding volume too – especially to areas that are looking a bit sparse.”
