Six Senses Ibiza 

Having only opened last week, this hotel is set to be the destination of the summer. Expected everything you might imagine from The Six Senses Group, but with a nod to eco-friendly design. The restaurant, headed up by award-winning chef Eyal Shani, will use locally-sourced ingredients while the spa is set to offer a host of options, including nutritional guidance and traditional spa treatments. Plus, the onsite boutique has been curated by two former Vogue editors.

Casa Maca

This converted farmhouse is full of rustic charm. Casa Maca has all the feel of rural Ibiza but is just minutes from the Old Town and has beautiful views of Dalt Villa. Its white-washed walls, punctuated with dark wooden details, make you feel as though you’ve stepped in to your very own finca, but with all the luxuries you’d expect from a refined hotel – and a cocktail menu to match.

OKU

OKU Ibiza is one of the island’s newest offerings, nestled on the edge of the Cala Gracio, one of the prettiest bays. Its modern design is beautifully accented with touches of bohemia. Agroturismo ATZARO

One of the most stylish hotels on the island, ATZARO is seriously luxurious. The bedrooms are simple yet chic, the restaurants and bars serve delicious food, and the on-site spa is a great place to relax after a day of exploring. It’s also the most magical place for a wedding or special celebration.

Where To Eat

La Paloma

This hidden gem is located in the centre of the island. Set in a converted finca, it’s a family-run restaurant, with a different menu each week. Serving the best Italian-Spanish fusion dishes and baking their own bread on site, too, the fresh blue and white building sits prettily against the earthy rural backdrop, with mismatched crockery and lace tablecloths adding extra charm.

Jul’s

Jul’s has an eclectic décor, a deep house soundtrack spun by a resident DJ, and a seriously good cocktail list. It also offers one of the best culinary experiences on the island – think of it as the grown-up way to do Ibiza nights.

Cotton Beach Club 

Dinner here is always a highlight during any trip. The food is fantastic, but it’s the views across Cala Tarida that take my breath away every time. Book a table at 8pm to watch the landscape change from blue to pink, and order a bottle of rosé to enjoy while listening to chilled out Balearic beats.

Beachouse 

Situated on Playa den Bossa, Beachouse personifies everything Ibiza. Go for a healthy brunch and an iced latte (hands down the best on the island) or indulge in a special lunch – it’s the vongole and jug of white sangria every time for me. Plus, there’s a kids’ club – always a bonus, especially when the children love it.

Casa Maca 

Even if you’re not staying here, the restaurant at Casa Maca is definitely worth a visit. Adjacent to its own farm, it produces most of its own organic  produce and ingredients, which are then hung over an open fire. Nights here are often accompanied by live music – ideal for a laid-back dinner.

Cala Gracioneta 

Surrounded by trees and golden patches of sand, Cala Gracioneta is a lovely spot for a relaxed meal. The team specialises in fresh Mediterranean food, like seafood platters, grilled fish, and generous salads. The cocktails are great, too.

Where To Drink & Go Out

Experimental Beach

One of the coolest spots to watch the sunset with a cocktail, Experimental Beach is one of my favourite spots. You can watch the planes take off from Ibiza airport, safe in the knowledge that it’s not your time to leave, just yet.

Pikes 

Without doubt, this is an Ibizan institution. Steeped in music history – Wham’s Club Tropicana video was shot here – it epitomises the wild, carefree spirit of the island. Book a table at the pool, order cocktails and imagine the likes of Grace Jones and Freddie Mercury partying the night away.

Pacha 

Pacha is probably the most iconic club on the island. My clubbing days are few and far between these days, but Flower Power at Pacha is always worth the hangover the next day. Delving back through the musical archives of Pacha’s 50-year history, it’s fun and nostalgic in a way only Ibiza can be.

Lio 

Bar, restaurant, cabaret… While the food isn’t anything to write home about (average and overpriced) the atmosphere and performances here more than make up for it. Extravagant, excessive, hedonistic even… some of my most fun nights have been here – plus, it’s the perfect excuse to ditch the Birkenstocks and throw on something super glam.

Where To Shop

Annie’s

Annie Doble’s eponymous boutique is like stepping into a dressing up box. A treasure trove of vintage and sequin pieces, you’re bound to find something cool to buy. Her Instagram is also a must-follow for her styling Reels with the cobbles of Dalt Villa and dance anthems in the background.

Nº74 L'atelier Ibiza

This boutique is brimming with the most beautiful hand-crafted straw hats and baskets, as well as organic cotton linen pieces for little ones (also available at Smallable.com). There’s an on-site café which serves delicious food, too, all made from locally sourced produce. Best of all, they run artisan workshops, ranging from watercolour painting to ceramics, with lots on offer for kids, as well.

Bohemian Bond

The ultimate in Ibizan bohemia, this shop sells handmade lace maxi skirts, kaftans and flares. Founder Jessie, originally from London, relocated to the island with her brood and is living the Ibizan dream. She hosts a pop-up at the Boho Experience and Beachouse every Thursday evening, but everything is also available to buy online, so you can have a little piece of the White Isle in your wardrobe if you’re not able to make it out there in person this year.

Things To Do

Formentera 

With white-sand beaches surrounded by crystal clear water, Formentera is like another world, and yet it’s only a 20-minute boat ride from Ibiza Town. Head over for lunch at Juan Y Andrea or Beso Beach, or live out your castaway fantasies and book an overnight stay at the newly-opened Casa Pacha.

Bohemian Boatcharter 

Set sail aboard a traditional Spanish Llaut boat to explore the island’s magical coastline and stop for snorkelling or head out to watch the sunset. Sailing doesn’t get any cooler or more photogenic than this.

Immerse yourself in the island’s hippy culture at Namaste at Las Dalias. With music, food, and artisan pop-up stalls, it’s a treat for all the senses.

Sunset Drumming Circle At Cala Benirrás

Cala Benirrás is a beautiful cove in the northeast of the island, known for its laid back, hippy vibes. Hire a paddle board, then head to Elements for lunch, or venture out in the early evening when the local hippies make their way to the beach to form a drumming circle as the sun sets – it will give you goosebumps!
