Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz always captures that colourful, glamorous summer spirit, and the brand’s Resort 2021 collection is now available for pre-order on Moda Operandi. This season it’s the accessories stealing the show – from eclectic jewellery to fun raffia details, each piece will transform a summer look without breaking the bank.
The Gym Gear
I’m a firm believer in investing in workout gear, and British brand Vaara’s latest collection is next on my hit list. Cool new strap-detail designs in bold, statement colours are bound to motivate you to hit the gym.
The High Street Collection
Zara’s SRPLS collection is back, and this time it’s a little softer than the tough, military-inspired pieces from seasons past. With a largely neutral colour palette, highlights include a seriously good cable knit sweater and the perfect new denim jumpsuit.
The New Brand
‘Because there is a boy in every girl’ is Alfie Paris’ motto. Crafting casual separates with silhouettes inspired by 90s fashion, it’s the go-to for boxer-like shorts (a big trend this summer) oversized shirting and utility-wear. Cool girls Loulou de Saison and The Fashion Guitar have already fallen hard.
Most days I return to my MATCHESFASHION.com app just to swoon at this new piece. It’s the ruffles that have me hooked – a feminine twist on the boilersuit aesthetic, I will not rest until I own it.
The Pre-Fall Collection
Fringing, glitter, heavy lace, sequins… it’s all in a day’s work for The Attico. The cult label’s pre-fall collection is uncharacteristically romantic, but with a heavy dose of their signature Italian glamour – just look to impossibly cool founders Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosia for styling inspo.
It’s no secret that Portobello Road is the place to go for vintage buys. Those in the know should head straight to Bridge Portobello for the best selection of vintage nighties and dresses. From silk to ruffles, taffeta to embroidery, I love their gorgeous finds.
