The Best Ready-To-Go Picnic Hampers

The Best Ready-To-Go Picnic Hampers

With picnics one of the safest ways to socialise, it was only a matter of time before some of the capital’s top restaurants launched their own bespoke hamper service. Whether you’re after a gourmet box filled with lobster rolls and champagne, or a larger option to feed a hungry family, here are the ones to order this weekend…

The Sun Tavern

Award-winning Hackney cocktail bar The Sun Tavern has created a selection of bespoke picnic hamper kits filled with bottles and provisions, perfect for afternoons and evenings spent in the garden or local park. The kits, priced from £75, arrive complete with bottles of prosecco and rosé, alongside a selection of cheeses, fresh olives, cornichons and sliced saucisson bonnet. With glasses, cutlery and plates provided in the hamper, it’s an ideal al fresco set-up. A ‘Cheese Snack Box’ is also available (for £10) and features comté, taleggio and rocamadour, accompanied with Ship biscuits, quince jelly and grapes.

Le Deli Robuchon

Le Deli Robuchon is now selling bespoke picnic hampers. Located on Piccadilly, Le Deli's team fills its takeaway hampers with a selection of wines, including Domaines Ott Rosé, and diners can choose from handmade freshly baked pastries, viennoiseries and breads, a large selection of fresh salads, hot and cold sandwiches, plus quiches and cheeses. Of the selection, we love the sound of the crab salad, salmon poke bowl and cherry gazpacho.

Bentley’s

For the first time in its 100-year history, Richard Corrigan’s Bentley’s is offering brunch hampers for four people, with proceeds of each box sold going to homelessness charity Under One Sky. The Bentley’s Picnic Hamper, also available via the restaurant’s new offshoot Mr Oyster Boy, is filled with ready-to-eat items and feeds two to four people – ideal for park lunches. As well as ready-to-eat items, the online shop sells Corrigan’s famous Irish treacle soda bread, smoked salmon and more.

A family-run deli on Fulham Road, Colette is filled with speciality products from around the UK and France, fine wines and champagnes.
