Set in Ireland, *The Rhythm Section* follows Stephanie Patrick (Lively), a woman seeking revenge by exposing the truth about those who orchestrated a plane crash that killed her family. Patrick was also meant to be on the flight, and once she discovers the crash wasn’t a terrible accident, she assumes the identity of an assassin to track down those responsible. *In cinemas 31st January* ## A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood Lloyd Vogel is an investigative journalist who receives an assignment to profile Fred Rogers, aka Mr. Rogers (played by Tom Hanks, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance). He approaches the interview with scepticism, as he finds it hard to believe that anyone can have such a good nature. But Roger's empathy, kindness and decency soon chips away at Vogel's jaded outlook on life, forcing the reporter to reconcile his own painful past. *In cinemas 31st January* ## The Lighthouse From Robert Eggers, the visionary filmmaker behind modern horror masterpiece *The Witch*, comes this hypnotic and hallucinatory tale of two lighthouse keepers on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s. A black and white sensation, *The Lighthouse* sees Robert Pattinson cement himself as one of the most interesting actors of his generation. *In cinemas 31st January* ## Parasite Bong Joon Ho is the man behind this pitch-black modern fairytale. Set in his native South Korea, the film focuses on the Park family – the picture of aspirational wealth – and the Kim family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist to the Parks, and soon a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. So, when a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims' newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the two dynasties. *In cinemas 7th February* ## Birds of Prey *Birds of Prey* (*And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn*) is a twisted tale told by DC Comic character Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down. *In cinemas 7th February* ## Emma This Jane Austen adaptation follows the antics of a young woman, Emma Woodhouse (Anya Taylor-Joy), who lives in Georgian and Regency-era England and occupies herself with matchmaking – in sometimes misguided, often meddlesome fashion – in the lives of her friends and family. Also stars Johnny Flynn, Callum Turner and Josh O’Connor. *In cinemas 14th February* ![A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood](https://media.sheerluxe.com/vdCYgWkHLeHGFp7Iwk-wd4nj9Jw=/800x0/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fsheerluxe.com%2Fsites%2Fsheerluxe%2Ffiles%2Farticles%2F2020%2F01%2Ffilms-watch-2020-beautiful-day-neighbourhood.jpg) A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood ![Birds Of Prey](https://media.sheerluxe.com/uPBnQCoOfEuuYg0FOrl9Era7rb0=/800x0/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fsheerluxe.com%2Fsites%2Fsheerluxe%2Ffiles%2Farticles%2F2020%2F01%2Ffilms-watch-2020-birds-prey.jpg) Birds Of Prey ![The Lighthouse](https://media.sheerluxe.com/FSL9HTZDCIXcug_tnBaZCd2Ag98=/800x0/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fsheerluxe.com%2Fsites%2Fsheerluxe%2Ffiles%2Farticles%2F2020%2F01%2Ffilms-watch-2020-lighthouse.jpg) The Lighthouse ## Mulan This year’s big Disney live-action reboot is *Mulan*. When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honoured warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. Masquerading as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential. *In cinemas 27th March* ## No Time To Die In *No Time To Die*, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology. Starring Daniel Craig, Lea Seydoux, Rami Malik and Ben Whishaw. *In cinemas 3rd April* ## Promising Young Woman Nothing in Cassie's (Carey Mulligan) life is what it appears to be – she's wickedly smart, tantalisingly cunning, and she's living a secret double-life by night. Now, an unexpected encounter is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs from her past. *In cinemas 17th April* ## Black Widow This Marvel Studios spinoff focuses on superhero Black Widow. At birth, the *Black Widow* (aka Natasha Romanova) is given to the KGB, which grooms her to become its ultimate operative. When the U.S.S.R. breaks up, the government tries to kill her as the action moves to present-day New York, where she is a freelance operative. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Rachel Weisz and Robert Downey Jr. *In cinemas 1st May* ## The Woman In The Window In this psychological suspense thriller, an agoraphobic child psychologist befriends a neighbour across the street from her New York brownstone, only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears and she suspects foul play. A stellar ensemble cast brings this gripping, bestselling novel to life, where shocking secrets are revealed, and no one – and nothing – is what it seems. Starring Amy Adams, Gary Oldman and Julianne Moore. *In cinemas 15th May* ## Wonder Woman 1984 Continuing the streak of brilliant female superheroes in 2020, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) is back – and this time, it’s the 80s. Diana Prince comes into conflict with the Soviet Union during the Cold War, and finds a formidable foe in the form of the Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). Chris Pine is also back, despite his untimely demise in the last film. We love the trailer for the 80s electro soundtrack alone. *In cinemas 5th June* ![Black Widow](https://media.sheerluxe.com/SFjHzcMww1802ohnYBrHu6WKxp8=/800x0/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fsheerluxe.com%2Fsites%2Fsheerluxe%2Ffiles%2Farticles%2F2020%2F01%2Ffilms-watch-2020-black-widow.jpg) Black Widow ![West Side Story](https://media.sheerluxe.com/0tSZEOMIfJle-e_42CkngHsxtnQ=/800x0/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fsheerluxe.com%2Fsites%2Fsheerluxe%2Ffiles%2Farticles%2F2020%2F01%2Ffilms-watch-2020-west-side-story.jpg) West Side Story ![Wonderwoman 1984](https://media.sheerluxe.com/OFLtJ5ixJNc8Xbst_3KjxwmOTXQ=/800x0/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fsheerluxe.com%2Fsites%2Fsheerluxe%2Ffiles%2Farticles%2F2020%2F01%2Ffilms-watch-2020-wonderwoman.jpg) Wonderwoman 1984 ## Free Guy In adventure-comedy *Free Guy*, a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story.
