From ambient albums by electronic heavyweights to energetic, uplifting tracks from up-and-coming bands, here are ten recent releases for you to enjoy… [ Save To My Favourites ](/user/login?destination=/markdownify/node/22370) [ ![](https://media.sheerluxe.com/GW2kZhe3kfMXpecLYEs8_ArVoQA=/800x0/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fsheerluxe.com%2Fsites%2Fsheerluxe%2Ffiles%2Farticles%2F2020%2F03%2Fagnes-obel-myopia.jpg) ](https://www.music.apple.com/us/album/myopia/1483217196) ### Agnes Obel – *Myopia* Agnes Obel is a Danish-born, Berlin-based classically trained musician who blends an ethereal charm with elegant vocals. Obel’s fourth album sees her stripped back further than ever before. Atmospheric and cinematic, this is one to stick on when you’ve got time to sit and soak it up. Revisiting the recordings, Calvi found they offered an intimate view of the songs’ initial intentions. Distilled to their bare essence – her masterful guitar playing and formidable vocals – Calvi asked Courtney Barnett, Joe Talbot of Idles, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Julia Holter to collaborate with her and further transform the songs. This is the stunning result. Fans of Jon Hopkins, Four Tet and Floating Points will love this. Experimental and haunting, this soundtrack showcases Hynes versatility perfectly. Expect experimental pop with a hint of ‘corporate surrealism’. The new album deals variously in heartbreak, gratitude, habits, intuition, delusions, innocence, loneliness and vulnerability. A beautiful listen. This new material focuses on killer melodies and frontwoman Lucy Evers’ heartfelt lyrics. Fans of early Dirty Projectors, The Big Moon and Field Music will love this. We’ve had the band’s woozy, long-awaited fourth album on repeat for the full month it’s been out, and trust us, it’s excellent. Breathing new life into indie-guitar music, these four women are incredible live, and this is captured immaculately here. For fans of MGMT, Bombay Bicycle Club and Our Girl.
