Perfumer Geza Shoen wanted to focus on one key ingredient – ‘Iso E Super’ – which had been used in perfumery since the mid-1970s. Initially taking a single dose of this synthetic molecule to create a perfume that utilised 65% of it, when that proved successful, he went full throttle and used it in its entirety for ‘Molecule 01’. As for the scent, it’s warm, velvety and full of amber and wood.
