A pair of chunky earrings is non-negotiable for me – I feel slightly underdressed without them. They’ve sold out (tragically), but Soru still does statement pieces brilliantly. Elsewhere, I’m all about rings that don’t try too hard but still make an impact – simple bands, interesting textures, stacked up in a way that feels a bit accidental, but isn’t. I treat jewellery – especially earrings – as the final touch of an outfit. They can completely change the mood, which is why I rarely leave the house without them. Lately, I’ve been firmly in my silver era, though I still like mixing metals. ### Oldest and newest piece in your collection? My oldest pieces are a simple gold necklace and a set of bangles passed down from my mum and grandmother. Jewellery is such a big part of Indian culture and, while they aren't necessarily styles I wear daily, those pieces carry a history that nothing new can replicate. [Dorsey](https://www.shopdorsey.com/) is one of my absolute favourites. I love the way they’ve completely reframed diamond jewellery – pieces that could feel traditionally dressy suddenly look impossibly cool and effortless. It’s all tennis necklaces, lab-grown stones and vintage-inspired silhouettes, styled with tanks, denim and that undone ease that feels very modern. The whole aesthetic of the brand really inspires me. I also love [Kimaï](https://kimai.com/uk/). Their approach to lab-grown diamonds feels incredibly fresh and contemporary, and the designs strike that perfect balance between timeless and directional. Everything feels thoughtful, elevated and slightly unexpected. [Catbird](https://www.catbirdnyc.com/) has been a favourite for years. My engagement ring is from there, and I’ve always gravitated towards their delicate fine pieces – the kind of jewellery that becomes part of you rather than the focal point of an outfit. Their chains and barely-there details have this quiet beauty I always come back to for everyday wear. ### How would you describe your jewellery style? Minimal, definitely. I’m very happy leaving the house with almost no jewellery on, so when I do wear it, I like it to feel subtle and considered. A fine chain, simple silver hoops, delicate earrings – pieces that quietly complement an outfit rather than dominate it. I’m not naturally drawn to statement jewellery; I prefer things that feel understated and personal. That said, I do love the occasional standout detail – especially rope-chain textures and pendant necklaces, which add character without feeling overpowering. For me, jewellery should elevate a look rather than become the whole conversation. ### What’s the oldest and newest piece in your collection? The newest piece is a delicate necklace from [Aurum + Grey](https://www.aurumandgrey.com/) – a fine chain with the tiniest ‘B’ for my daughter. It’s so simple and elegant, but incredibly meaningful at the same time. I love jewellery that tells a story in an understated way. The oldest is probably a bracelet I bought from Catbird almost 20 years ago on a trip to New York. I visited their Brooklyn store and completely fell in love with the brand. It’s an incredibly fine bracelet that catches the light in the softest way – delicate, understated and something I never take off. The most sentimental piece I own, though, is a tiny silver pinky ring my mum had made after my granny passed away. She melted down silver from my granny’s bracelets and turned it into this beautifully simple ring. More is definitely more for me. From stacking earrings across every piercing – sometimes even doubling up in the same hole – to layering bangles and bracelets, I love pieces that make a statement. I grew up wearing gold jewellery, though in recent years I’ve embraced mixed metals, especially when it comes to rings. And on holiday, I lean fully into playful jewellery – think colourful earrings and bright layered necklaces that perfectly complement my beach wardrobe. ### Oldest and newest piece in your collection? In Ghanaian culture, it’s tradition for girls to have their ears pierced before they turn one, often alongside wearing a gold bangle from a young age. Jewellery has always felt deeply personal to me because it’s something rooted in both style and heritage. While the bangles don’t fit anymore, they are lovely keepsakes.
