The whole place has this incredibly warm, intimate and authentic feel. Staying here feels like a natural extension of the store’s aesthetic – it’s just stunning. I love that it has maintained its rich vintage charm. It's located right along the Canal Ring and tucked inside on the canal front is [Jansz](https://www.janszamsterdam.com/). If you’re curious to try modern Dutch food, Jansz is the place to go. You’ll get a real feel for local bistro classics in a setting that feels polished yet genuinely welcoming. Honestly, it doesn't matter if I'm there with family or friends; there is a cosy corner for date nights, plus great bars and terrace tables made for long lunches with shared dishes on silver plates. *Visit* [PULITZERAMSTERDAM.COM](https://www.pulitzeramsterdam.com/en/) ## WHERE TO EAT & DRINK ### Café Binnenvisser This is one of my go-tos in Amsterdam. On the corner of Bilderdijkstraat, it's a no-nonsense bistro that has great food and wine. Louf is the spot for homemade baked goodies. The ferments often use local ingredients but also employ interesting techniques to create something really special. It’s set in a greenhouse that was originally built to supply other gardens in the city. Everything is cooked on a charcoal grill which, paired with a local wine, is just chef’s kiss. The space itself is what I’d describe as warehouse chic. Frozen Fountain is more like a gallery of young designers and each corner offers a zest of something unique. It's the sort of store you won’t know what you’re looking for until you're there. Ensō Vintage’s offering is highly curated – the collection is hand-selected by founders Andrea and Liseth, who pair vintage designer pieces with new, upcycled collections. *Visit* [ENSOVINTAGE.COM](https://ensovintage.com/) ### Nho Girl A go-to for high-end curated vintage, this is an appointment-only showroom, which already sets it apart from the usual rummage-through-the-racks experience. Here, you get the space and time to actually look properly. Although it isn't the easiest to reach, it's well worth the trip over to Amsterdam Noord for yoga, a rooftop pool and sauna session. After that, you can’t miss the homemade ferments at the café inside. *Visit* [STRETCHANDFOLD.NL](https://www.stretchandfold.nl/) ### The Loft, A’DAM Tower It would be remiss to visit the city without paying a visit to the institution that is The Loft. Located on the 16th floor of the iconic A’DAM Tower, its 7m high floor-to-ceiling windows have become synonymous with a night you never want to end. In the same building, Shelter is another great club and holds its own as one of the city's great clubs. *Visit* [ADAMTOREN.NL](https://adamtoren.nl/the-loft/) ### Rijksmuseum My day could easily be spent aimlessly wandering around the Rijksmuseum. It has this installation-style flow where paintings sit alongside objects from the same period, so you’re not just looking at art, you’re stepping into the whole moment, which makes it feel really immersive. Anytime I spot a mannequin or costume display, I’m there, and the Worn exhibition in particular is so well done. The best times to go are first thing in the morning or in the last couple of hours before closing, when it’s quieter and you can really take it all in. *Visit* [RIJKSMUSEUM.NL](https://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en) ### Utrechtsestraat & The Nine Streets My favourite areas in Amsterdam for people watching or a stroll. It stretches across the canal and is packed with boutiques, design stores and cafés.
