She’s meticulous in her approach to undertones but largely unswayed by the ‘correct’ way of doing something, which makes her eponymous line feel so instinctive and effortless. Lived-in over polish any day of the week, this brand is so up my street. Since getting a lash lift and tint, I’ve found myself mostly skipping mascara but this has enticed me back. Founded by creative director Emmanuel Lawal, the London-based design studio sits somewhere between beauty, culture and collectible design, reimagining familiar grooming tools as objects you actually want to keep. A sculptural circular comb made from recycled acetate, available in afro, wide-tooth and fine-tooth versions to work across different hair textures. Afro combs, and tools designed specifically for textured hair, have long been overlooked by the luxury hair market, so I love that Forestalgia is helping shift that conversation by treating them as objects of design, identity and desire rather than purely functional tools.
