Meet The Woman Rewriting The Rules Of Modern Luxury
Created in partnership with PORSCHE
My everyday look is rooted in classic simplicity and comfort. I lean towards timeless basics – a knit or t-shirt, denim, blazers – to keep things simple. I also love layering, which is why I own quite a few jackets. At work, I mix casual pieces with blazers and loafers, while for evenings I like to embrace more elegance, often opting for high heels, dresses or skirts.
My style is minimalist but it’s currently evolving. Over time, it’s become clearer and more deliberate. Career changes – specifically stepping into my role leading design strategy across fashion and style within Porsche’s design department – new routines and a stronger understanding of what truly makes me feel comfortable have all shaped this evolution. Since starting the position, I’ve been playing more consciously with details and trying things that were previously outside my comfort zone, particularly in terms of cuts. I hadn’t really tried wide-leg jeans before but now they’re a wardrobe staple.
Comfort is essential. I would never wear anything that doesn’t feel right. Otherwise, it would affect my whole day and undermine my confidence – which I need for important meetings. My favourite look is jeans with a simple top and loafers. It feels authentic and can easily be adapted for different occasions. I love accentuating it with great accessories, such as a standout bag or jewellery.
I naturally gravitate towards simple pieces. Balancing practicality with elegance comes down to thoughtful combinations. I pair comfortable basics with elegant shoes or elevate them with accessories, such as a beautiful bag or striking jewellery. These details can make an outfit feel more refined and special, resulting in a look that is both wearable and stylish.
I almost always stick to an understated colour palette. Black, dark blue, beige, brown and white are colours I wear throughout the year. I’m not particularly drawn to patterns, preferring textures and materials like tweed instead. I do allow myself to be influenced by the seasons – I mainly wear white in summer, while black features heavily in my winter wardrobe.
Nature is one of my greatest sources of inspiration. Its colours, structures and patterns feel both harmonious and surprising at the same time. When designing Mystic Green – a metallic, pastel green finish exclusively developed for the new Cayenne Electric – I drew precisely on this dialogue within nature, translating shifting tones, soft depth and the subtle play of light into a colour that feels both modern and timeless. I’m fascinated by the interplay of light and shadow, and by organic forms that are constantly changing. At the same time, I’m equally inspired by the dynamic life of cities – by architecture, hotels and restaurants, especially their spatial concepts, combinations of materials and the way they create atmosphere. Cities tell stories and they stimulate my creativity. Above all, though, people inspire me. Conversations and different perspectives open up new ways of thinking.
Paris and London are the cities that most inform my personal style. I admire how confident people are in their own look and how comfortable they feel in what they wear. After every visit, I feel inspired to try something new, although I rarely stray from my own style – I simply expand on it.
I’m particularly inspired by designers and brands with strong self-confidence – those that know exactly what they stand for and live without compromise. When a brand truly understands its core and consistently reflects it in every collection, detail and presentation, something very powerful is created. I admire Bottega Veneta for its exceptionally keen eye for detail, the highest quality and its minimalist aesthetic. It’s not about loud staging but craftsmanship and precision.
The focus at Porsche on timeless design and tradition is what resonates most with me. It has a clear, minimalist design language and remains true to its aesthetic – a philosophy that also guides my work in developing colours and material concepts, including creating highly individual finishes for Sonderwunsch customers. These projects are never about short-lived fashion but about translating personal stories and lasting values into something enduring. I also find it difficult to follow trends, especially when it comes to colour. I like to experiment with different cuts but they always have to suit me first.
My surroundings and daily routines influence the way I dress. When choosing my outfit in the morning, I think about what I have planned for the day – whether I have an important meeting for example. For special occasions, I often buy a new outfit, as I like to remember the moment through clothes.
My preference for understated colours and high-quality materials extends into other areas of my life. Whether at home or travelling, it’s important that everything feels calm, harmonious and consciously chosen. When travelling, I always choose hotels with a strong sense of style.
A minimalist foundation leaves room for specific accents – both in my personal style and in my design work. In a professional context, I try to put my own taste aside. While my personal style is rather restrained, my design work is guided more strongly by the needs of customers and brand identity. Within a sports car brand, like Porsche, this can also mean allowing bold, expressive and even polarising colour and material concepts, and using them in a targeted way. That balance is what makes the brand so compelling: the same design philosophy can run the gamut from the unmistakably sporty 911 to the latest all-electric SUV, the Cayenne Electric – proving how versatile and contemporary the range truly is.
I am someone who likes rules and generally tries to stick to them. I adhere quite strictly to the idea that certain items are appropriate for certain occasions. I appreciate school uniforms and love it when special events have a theme.
For me, timelessness is about longevity. It’s about creating something that transcends the moment, functioning independently of short-lived trends and remaining harmonious even after many years. Clear shapes, high-quality materials and a calm colour palette are essential. Ultimately, my approach to beauty, style and design can be summed up as ‘less is more’. Beauty lies in the space where clarity and quality meet. Good design begins with simplicity and a true aesthetic come not from excess but from conscious decisions and the omission of the unnecessary.
