Isle of Harris Gin

Based in the Outer Hebrides, the Isle of Harris Distillery – or the Social Distillery as it is often referred to – opened in October 2015 in the small harbour village of Tarbert. The vision of Anderson ‘Burr’ Bakewell, who wanted to provide employment opportunities for generations to come, their award-winning gin is the distillery’s inaugural spirit: juniper, coriander, angelica root, orris root, cubebs, bitter orange peel, liquorice and cassia bark all play a role in defining the flavour, although it’s sugar kelp which really marks out this special pour.

Combining 260-year-old tradition and modern technology, Norður Salt is sustainable, organic and made using geothermal energy from a hot spring in Reykhólar in the northwest of Iceland. By setting out to make ‘the best sea salt flakes in the world’, but with minimal impact on the environment, it’s safe to say the founders have cracked it – their carbon footprint is virtually zero. Russell & Atwell Chocolates

With over 30 years collective experience, Steve (a chocolatier) and Giles (a third-generation chocolate entrepreneur) started their business trying to answer one simple question: “Why are we still eating long-life chocolate, if everything tastes better fresh?” As a result, they set out to make restaurant-quality, fresh-chilled chocolates – but at supermarket prices. The brand has just launched three sumptuous pouches: Outrageously Creamy Milk Chocolates with a Fino de Aroma Milk Centre; Extra Dark Chocolates with a Premium Solomon Islands Cocoa Centre; and Ridiculously Smooth Dark Chocolates.

Pip & Nut Gingerbread Almond Butter

Nut butter fans have reason to celebrate this autumn, thanks to the launch of the latest limited-edition flavour from Pip & Nut – a deliciously warming Gingerbread Almond Butter. Sales of the new product will also help to support Hackney Foodbank, with 25p from each jar going to the charity. The smooth blend of perfectly roasted, naturally sweet Californian almonds, fiery ginger root and spicy cinnamon is finished off with a dash of dates for a hint of rich caramel. Try it swirled into porridge or simply spoon it straight from the jar.

Indie Bay Pretzels

Pretzel brand Indie Bay has recently updated their delicious chocolate iteration with a new dark chocolate orange flavour. An indulgent dark chocolate orange coating gives way to satisfying crunch – and best of all it’s totally vegan and high in fibre. We love the glass jar packaging – not only is it eco-friendly, it looks good on the shelf, too.
