Founded by Selena Gomez, Rare Beauty officially launched in 2022 and almost instantly became a mega hit in the beauty world, with several products selling out at speed at Space NK. Its line-up is a curated selection of feel-good make-up that’s versatile and easy to use. It’s already launched a blush – The Soft Pinch Liquid – which beauty insiders loved for its silky, cream formula. Now, it’s launching a blush that’s more of a powder, catering to those who want a buildable formula that’s easy to work with and slightly longer lasting. It even contains added botanical ingredients that help to soothe and nourish your skin with every wear.

If you love the brand’s Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter, you’ll like this too. With an almost identical formula, the new Soft Pinch Luminous Blush is housed in the same pink compact, with a clever enclosure that snaps shut like a magnet. It glides onto skin with a light-as-air powder texture, before melting into the skin and staying put – without ever looking chalky or ashy. 

It has a slightly sheer base, while in-built, light-reflective pearls give the skin that dewy finish we love. As for the colours, there are six to choose from – ‘Cheer’ is our current favourite though we love ‘Terracotta’ for softly sculpting the skin.

It’s also talc free, meaning it won’t clog your pores, while the waterproof formula means it really goes the distance – you’ll find it looks fresh even as the day wears on.

Apply the product with a soft, fluffy brush, swirling into your skin using light motions. Seeing as it’s a powder, you don’t need to layer up with this one – the pigment and longevity are both impressive. To enhance your bone structure, take the blusher slightly higher in an upward direction, working from the apples of your cheeks up to your temples. You can also apply it with a very slightly damp Beautyblender to enhance the colour and make the blend more seamless.
