In The Morning...
My morning routine is very consistent. I’m an early bird, so I include more steps in comparison to my night-time routine and like to take my time. It offers me a grounded, calm start to my day. In terms of product formulation, it’s important that I can layer make-up on top, so I keep the layers light but effective to ensure anything on top looks good and lasts.
I'm a multitasker, so my first step happens in the shower. I keep a bottle of Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser in there and use it every other day. I know scrubbing this frequently might be too intense for some, but this product is designed for daily use – plus, I massage it in very lightly. The ginseng and grapefruit really wake my skin up.
I use a body scrub most days, too. At the moment, I'm enjoying the NUXE Rêve de Miel Body Scrub as it is really nourishing and leaves my skin feeling super hydrated afterwards. When I want to treat myself, I use the Jo Malone Vitamin E Body Treatment Scrub, which leaves your skin with the most wonderful glow.
As for my face, my biggest concerns are dullness and dryness. Once I’m out of the shower, I use the Rodial Dragon's Blood Essence Mist and The Treatment Lotion by La Mer. The viscosity of the lotion is really unique – slightly thicker than a toner, lighter than a moisturiser. It absorbs so beautifully and trust me, once you start using it, you’ll find it hard to stop. If I have specific skin concerns, I’ll switch up this part of my routine – for example, adding The Concentrate by La Mer if I’ve caught the sun, or even in the winter when my skin is drier than normal.
I like to store my eye cream applicator in the fridge. If you weren't awake before, you will be after using it. My eye cream of choice is The Eye Concentrate by La Mer, and although it's bougee, it really is the best when it comes to decreasing puffiness, minimising the look fine lines and brightening dark circles.
I love hydrating products in the morning. The Intral Inner Youth Rescue Serum by Darphin is like a glass of water for your skin. It also soothes and calms my skin, so it’s brilliant for those on the sensitive side. The scent is incredible, too. Since I love to layer products, I use a moisturiser that absorbs quickly and keeps the skin glowing. The Clinique Moisture Surge (100 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator) is perfect – no wonder it's a cult product.
It’s important to massage each product in completely before you move on. I also rub in any excess product onto the back of my hands to give them a little extra love. My favourite SPF is by Supergoop. I used to struggle with sunscreens causing breakouts, but I’m obsessed with Supergoop SPFs – they’re so lightweight and never leave that greasy residue behind. The Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base is a miracle worker – the pièce de résistance of my routine – as it locks in all of those wonderful skincare layers and creates a smooth, slightly mattified base for make-up to sit on top of.

In The Evening...
My evening routine is a little simpler. I start with a double cleanse to really remove my make-up, unclog my pores and get rid of any external pollutants from the day. I start by using the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm which melts everything away quickly and efficiently. Then, I use the Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturising Cleanser to make sure anything that’s lingering is gone.
A few products from my morning routine make a second appearance. For example, I always use The Treatment Lotion to start. For my evening serum, I use the classic Advanced Night Repair from Estee Lauder. In the evening I’ll use it more under my eyes as it's thin enough to double up as an eye cream without causing irritation or puffiness. I find it really helps hydrate and smooth the area. Plus, since I’m typically tired at night, it's great to multitask where possible.
Twice a week, I use an LED mask. The Boost LED Face Mask from the Light Salon only needs to be on for ten minutes to brighten, soothe and refresh the skin. There's something very calming about the process, too. I will often follow this up with the Elemis Superfood Midnight Facial moisturiser – a generous helping feels incredibly nourishing in the morning as well, and the scent is incredible.
A jade facial massage stone will sculpt and lift the face. It’s much more therapeutic to do this in the evening, and it means I can add a little extra pressure without having to worry about looking a little red afterwards. Oils are an important part of any facial massage. I’m currently loving the Gallinée Prebiotic Face Oil, as it gives just the right amount of slip, and helps keep the skin looking luminous.
Finally, a few more self-care steps make all the difference at the end of the day. For example, spritzing the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray before I go to sleep. It’s the most effective spray I've used – the blend of lavender, camomile and vetiver creates such a heady aroma. I tend to be a little more stressed or anxious in the evenings so to keep my mind at ease, I use the Trip CDB Oil in Orange Blossom and Camomile. You won’t "feel it working", but instead, you’ll suddenly realise you don’t feel as anxious or stressed anymore. I love ending my day this way.
