BEST FOR WATER & WILDLIFE:
Sandals Royal Curaçao, Curaçao
Sandals Royal Curaçao opened last summer on the exclusive, 3,000-acre Santa Barbara estate on the Dutch-influenced island of Curaçao – and it’s just 15 miles from Curaçao International Airport. Famous for its vibrant culture, pristine beaches and coves, Curaçao is home to 65 spectacular dive sites and exotic marine ecosystems, making it a great choice for adventurous couples. In a west-facing position on the southernmost part of the island, the estate combines nature with a full resort experience. It’s also perfectly placed for couples to capture one of the Caribbean’s most spectacular sunsets. Along 3,000 acres on Spanish Water Bay, this is a romantic getaway with 350 rooms and elegant Kurason Island Suites. At the centre of the property, couples will find the brand’s first ever bi-level Dos Awa Infinity Pool, with views overlooking the bay and rugged mountain landscape beyond. Also new for Sandals is a fleet of stylish convertible Mini Coopers that guests in select room categories can use to explore the island.

BEST NEW EXPERIENCE:
Sandals Dunn’s River, Jamaica
Opening in May 2023, on the north coast of Jamaica, Sandals Dunn’s River resort offers a backdrop of rivers, forests and waterfalls. This secluded spot was hand-picked by the company’s founder for its pristine beach and its close distance to Jamaica’s natural wonders. Sandals Dunn’s River will be home to Jamaica’s first Skypool Suites, the only one of its kind on the island. These suites are in a class of their own with a pool stretching across the length of the balcony, offering an impressive view of where the ocean meets the horizon. Another first of its kind, the Coyaba Sky Rondoval villas aim to reinvent ‘luxury’, with an oversized swim-up pool and open-air terrace on top of each villa.

BEST FOR A FULL BEACH ESCAPE:
Sandals Grande St Lucian, St Lucia
Framed to the west by Rodney Bay – which boasts the calmest waters in St Lucia – and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, this magnificent resort showcases panoramic views, volcanic mountains and a sheltered mile-long beach. We love the look of the over-the-water bungalows. Suspended over the Caribbean Sea, the wood-panelled accommodation gives way to a glass floor to make you feel like you’re sleeping on water. But it’s the outdoor space that really impresses – imagine an over-water hammock, outdoor shower and huge tub on a private patio.

BEST FOR INCREDIBLE VIEWS:
Sandals Grenada, Grenada
For a romantic getaway for two, head to the all-inclusive Sandals resort in Grenada. On Pink Gin Beach, this couple’s resort has private plunge pools, cascading waterfalls and 257 beautiful rooms and suites spread over four villages. We suggest booking one of the SkyPool Suites, which have private infinity pools and butler service. For something more lowkey, opt for one of the Pink Gin Beachfront Rooms which come with a balcony or patio. There are ten restaurants, plus six bars and a range of outdoor swimming pools and whirlpools. Guests can also soak up the Caribbean vibes on the beach, relax at the spa or take advantage of inclusive scuba diving trips.

BEST FOR DIVING:
Sandals Grande Antigua, Antigua
Sandals Grande Antigua is on the island’s most famous beach, Dickenson Bay. It’s actually two resorts in one: the Caribbean Beachfront Village, a charming seaside garden filled with palms; and the all-suite Mediterranean Oceanview Village, which mixes European grandeur into the Caribbean hillsides. We love the look of the seaside rondovals at the Beachfront Village. There are 11 restaurants here and scuba diving is a speciality.

BEST FOR A SLICE OF HISTORY:
Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica
Montego Bay is the original Sandals resort. Embracing the best private white-sand beach in Jamaica, this romantic location offers the perfect backdrop for weddings and honeymoons. The calm, reef-protected beach is ideal for every type of water sport and guests can book into 12 restaurants, each serving authentic regional cuisine. Those looking for an extra-special trip should look at booking one of the private seaside suites, which come with a butler and are just steps from the sea.

BEST FOR LUXURY SUITES:
Sandals Royal Barbados, Barbados
Sandals Royal Barbados is a recently opened all-suite, all-inclusive resort in St Lawrence Gap. The resort features a number of Sandals firsts, including a rooftop pool and bar, and a four-lane bowling alley. Some of the best accommodation on the island includes the striking Skypool Suites (which come with an infinity-edge plunge pool that blends into the horizon), Swim-up Suites, and Millionaire Suites, which come with a dedicated butler. There are also nine restaurants and a large spa to enjoy.

BEST FOR THE ROYAL SEAL OF APPROVAL:
Sandals Royal Bahamian, Bahamas
This resort was once a favourite of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Today, it offers two ocean-front colonnaded pools overlooking the sea, ten fine-dining restaurants and an award-winning Red Lane spa. Highlights include the new Crystal Lagoon Swim-up Suites with butler service, two white-sand beaches and – for an extra special touch – exclusive VIP airport transfers in either a Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Benz for those in selected butler suites.
